Rose doesn't seem to always win headers, but he really does enough to make sure the opponent can't "win" and do something with it.Completely agreed. Rose is 5'8" and can probably out-jump the Belgian who plays next to him. In the season just passed, he put in a very, very good season. One of the few players who gave 110% every single match for 90+ minutes.
Between the two left-sided defenders, it was Vertonghen who was "exposed" more often IMO, and it was the right flank altogether which was targeted most often. When Eriksen played wide left, that's when teams went at Rose's flank, and of course he was going to struggle with zero protection ahead of him, just as he did last season with Eriksen playing wide ahead of him.
