i dont disagree i'd like to see it too i just worry that we'd lose a lot on the right in terms of his work off the ball that goes somewhat underrated i think. As for Jan there is no way we get away without buying a midfielder, and early. Along with a CB that is a priority, more than a striker/forward at this point.

I think Ange will end up using bentancur in Maddison’s role, it seems the most likely thing to do, but asking bents to come in and start games now might be too much for him.

Nkunku not playing a minute of competitive football for them yet after injury in the final preseason game.
James and Chilwell only playing a handful of games and never on the pitch at the same time.
Fofana long term (again), Lavia not kicked a ball for them yet, Chukwumeka and Broja both would've seen more minutes if they were fit.
They've had it bad.
United and chelsea this season. United had their whole back line out injured, both left backs, had to loan our back up left back, had new signing mount out, striker out now have casemiro out etc.

Bentancur aside we've had no injuries to 1st team players for the first 11 games of the season.

Perisic, Solomon, Johnson, Lo Celso, Davies, and Udogie have all been unavailable through injury in that time.

The first five I agree with but Udogie has played in every game! He will miss his first game tomorrow and that is due to suspension not injury.

Udogie has played 9 out of 11 league games for us. None of the others are 1st team starters except for possibly Johnson.
We've hardly been plagued with injuries this season, until the last game and now for the forseeable future.
Their new signing nkunku out, 3 cbs out, starting Lb out, rb out,
he missed Palace?

Perisic played in every game up until his injury. He was a pretty key part of us seeing out games. I’d also argue that one doesn’t need to be a starting player to be an important first teamer.
But given Johnson and Udogie have both missed games due to injury, your post saying Bentancur was the only first team injury simply is not correct, whatever way you want to slice it.

Yeah, that’s bonkers. The first 20 minutes were probably the best we played all year. We were absolutely tearing them to shreds. 2 moments of madness and all up in smoke.
I guess if “found out” means to get Romero into a red mist and to kick Maddison hard whenever possible (which teams have been since day 1), then we’ve been found out.

It’s pretty evident we need to sign another CAM in the summer, to compete/fill in for Maddison, especially if we’re in Europe

Then we need to sell Lo Celso, because frankly he, Kulu, or at a push Bentancur should take that role until Maddison recovers.
