I honestly think it'll be a steal if we can get him for anything up to £50m inc. add-ons.

If you consider Sterling, Sancho, Maguire and White all went for as much if not more, it makes you realise £50m for an extremely talented, home grown, Premier League proven player in their prime in a position we are severely lacking would be well worth it.

Fairly confident neither Sessegnon or Rodon would agree to go play in the Championship.
I think Leicester would be a good move for them actually. Fair chance of coming straight back up, a relatively big club, and a chance of being an important player. Rodon needs regular football, he’s an important player for Wales and it won’t matter to them if he drops down to the championship. I think he’ll get an offer from Forest though.

The term “thrash out a deal” is always one than makes me cringe most in the transfer window 😂

I am the only person not really all that excited about potentially signing Maddison?

I mean if we did sign him I would want him to do really well but at the moment I don't really feel strongly one way or the other.

Check out his stats, that might help!

But honestly I've no idea why anyone wouldn't feel excited by the prospect of him teaming up with Kane and Son etc

What creative midfielder would excite you instead of Maddison?

He ticks all the boxes for me

- Premier league Proven
- Goals & Assists
- set pieces
- England international (helps abit with Kane)
- decent fee (40-50)

who could you really get in that fits better than him?

Regarding Maddison:

I still don’t get how clubs agree personal terms before their bid is accepted?

Call me old fashioned but whilst the player is at a club, they should not be having discussions with other clubs, it’s just not cricket innit.

Madisson contributed 20+ goals/assist combination for Leicester consistently in PL
He solves our set piece & free kick issue.

Last season, we scored 70 goals in PL - this with Richarlison having a bad season and Kulu/Son having avg season by their standards. This 70 goals was our best in PL since 2017/18. We had outscored Newcastle. Also outscored 3rd placed United by 12 goals.

To this, if we now add Madisson thats a game changer signing.

Then its all about shutting the back door, where Ange has his work cut out. But getting Maddison in and keeping Son & Kane for this season basically gives him a huge lifeline to survive his first PL season.

It depends on selling club if they have given permission. Given , Madisson is going to be sold anyway from championship, they may have already given his agent permission to do preliminary talks

I'ts just the way it is.

You're not going to put all that effort into agreeing a fee and working out a deal to then find out you can't agree on personal terms.

Get the green light on those and then push forward with a serious bid.

Yeah, it’s the same as us telling our lot they are free to move on. Agent gages interest, discusses terms and then club agrees fee, backward to how it used to be

It’s also worth remembering that he is represented by Base who clearly seem to be pretty heavily involved with a lot of what goes here. The fact that aside from the numerous players we have represented by them they were also supposedly influential in the appointment of both Ange and Munn gives some indication. With that in mind it’s a pretty good bet that, even if unofficially, an offer would have been discussed a while ago even if nothing official was agreed to.

I don’t really think there’s any question as to if Maddison would come if he was given the chance, it’s just a question of IF, and I do think it’s a big if, we can agree a deal with Leicester.

Like Eriksen in his prime he’s a two footed 360 degree player, makes receiving the ball and passing look easy where others make it look painfully difficult. If it goes through, will be a key signing in how we play.

Yeah I think it’s a good move if we can pull it off. Makes a lot of sense from all sides.

Must say them stats are startling. Just shows you 2 things, how reliant we were on Kane last season and how Dire (Dier) our defence was lol.
On Topic with Maddison, would love him in our starting 11, his stats are there for all to see. Has been a constant performer, even when Leicester have been rubbish. For me he can strike up a good relationship with Kane, which would help his international career as well
