Dunno the exact level but yeah, they basically got themselves into a position where they had to reguarly sell players for big profits just to make the numbers add up. And for a few years they did exactly that - Kante, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Maguire, Chilwell etc. But it's a high-risk strategy and it only requires a few bad signings or players running their contracts down for the whole thing to fall apart.

Yeah that clip is really insulting. I didn’t realise Nicol was that stupid - apparently 10 goals and 8 assists from a midfielder is ‘going missing for the season’. Hislop’s comment was shit too. One poor season after 12 or 13 seasons in Europe in a row and we’re a mid table team?

Nicol seems to have a genuine dislike for us. Who hurt him? Where did we touch him? They’re both now on my ‘Jaydee’ list of people that I’ll cheer when they get sacked from their jobs in a year or two.

The ESPN coverage is the closest thing on TV to Talksport for me.

Feels like they're actively encouraged to have polarising, tabloid opinions to drive engagement.

It's the most cheap, disingenuous punditry I've seen from all the main channels when I'm totally legally watching Spurs online.

The ESPN coverage is, and always has been, terrible. The pundits come unprepared, hungover, without any meaningful insight. They are a joke in the states even. NBC at least takes it seriously.

Been that way for years with them lot. All of them. Should watch the show they did after we beat Man City in the CL. It was like a wake. Not an exaggeration.
