Inter, Perisic renewal: the definitive response of the Croatian is expected

Sky Sport26 May 2022 - 18:43

The Nerazzurri club awaits a definitive response from the Croatian outside: the latest proposal made is five million plus bonuses. Juve is interested in the evolution of the situation, but without having made an offer yet. Meanwhile, Inzaghi is about to renew: Bremer and Asllani the first market objectives

Inside or outside, this Friday will be Ivan Perisic's day. By the weekend, in fact, the Croatian will have to give Inter a definitive answer: there will be no other matches or attempts by the Nerazzurri club in case of a negative response. The company made one last effort to renew his contract, raising the offer to 5 million plus bonuses per season. Perisic has a couple of offers from England and Spain, in addition to the interest of Juventus. Inter, for their part, are trying all the way and hoping for renewal, but without raising the last proposal any further.

The interest of Juventus

The Croatian outfielder is also an esteemed player by Juventus, but there are currently no forward steps forwards or formal offers from the Bianconeri. In a field area where Juve is looking for reinforcement, Perisic could be an ideal name as it would bring quality and experience to the exterior. At the moment, however, no offers have been made, although there is the satisfaction of the player in case of breakup with Inter.

Perisic, an MVP season

Inter, trust for Mkhitaryan: it would reach zero

35 league appearances, 8 goals and 7 assists for Ivan Perisic, one of the most incisive and most important players for Simone Inzaghi, who decided not to give it up even with the arrival of Robin Gosens. A season of true MVP for the Croatian, who in addition to the numbers, has put leadership, personality and quality available to the team. Fundamental for second place, even more so for the victory of the Coppa Italia, where in the final against Juve he first took a very heavy ball from the diskette in extra time, bringing the team to 3-2. Then, despite running 102 minutes, he ended the game with a big goal. Some time ago it seemed on the margins of the Nerazzurri project, then the loan to Bayern Munich and the arrival of Conte first and Inzaghi then, made it indispensable for the club.

From Pirlo to Calhanoglu: Marotta's zero shots

Inzaghi, renewal ready until 2024

Certainly the future of Simone Inzaghi, who in a few days will officially extend his contract until 2024, which is one year more than the current one. Then room for market strategies just decided in a meeting with the company, which was also attended by President Steven Zhang. Arrived in June 2021, Inzaghi convinced the club to extend the contract: despite the Scudetto goal chased to the end and not achieved, Inter took a second place and two victories against Juventus between the Italian Super Cup and the Coppa Italia final, in addition to the Champions League round of 16, which were then lost to Liverpool's current finalist.

The point on the Inter market

Lautaro: ‘Proud to defend Inter shirt’

After the renewal of Inzaghi, the transfer market will start for Inter. The Nerazzurri club will need 60 million through some exits, so some of the big ones will have to leave. Incoming, the main targets are Gleison Bremer of Torino and Kristjan Asllani of Empoli, identified as Vice Brozovic. However, also watch out for zero parameters: in addition to the negotiation with Mkhitaryan, Inter continue to keep Paulo Dybala under observation, but before a lunge, Marotta and Ausilio must make room in the mount engagements and understand well how to compose the offensive department. Sanchez should leave, while Lautaro Martinez is the last of the transferable. Inter want to do everything to keep the "Bull", even at the cost of sacrificing someone in their place. Not just financial sustainability, though: Zhang has openly stated the ambition of the Nerazzurri club, which will also fight to win next season.

Just a personal opinion but I feel Perisic is on another level to Kostic. The work with Conte only adds to this. However, he is one where I’d have concerns about a significant athletic drop off, given he’s 4 years older than Kostic. He’s a two-footed Kostic who’ll also progress the ball through the middle third. Also has more variety to his finishing than Kostic. Kostic is a pure final third difference maker, which is all the Conte wingbacks really need, but I feel there are no weaknesses in Perisic’s game whereas Kostic won’t have the positive impact in the build up Perisic will provide. The best two options out there though as far as I’m concerned so happy either way.

On top of that he has absolutely elite level of experience. Highly decorated. Would be a fantastic addition for a couple of seasons.

With 5 subs next season we can bring Perisic off after 60 mins, give him a flask of soup, and put a blanket over his legs.

Inter’s offer is €5 mil a year or €96k a week, which is approx £82k a week. I doubt we’d want to offer him much more but it could be down to length of contract. We wouldn’t want to offer him longer than 2 years you’d assume.

What are the chances we get both Perisic & Kostic ?
We should do it if possible.

Kostic can be the main left wing back, with Sess as back up. While Perisic can back up & play for Son. Son is also nearly 30. If we want consistent play from 1st team to 2d team, we need quality.

Left side of Bastoni/Davies; Kostic/Sess, Son/Perisic would almost guarantee no let up of quality whether its PL or CL or FA Cup or League cup

Perisic on Free transfer - I can easily see us affording him a 2 year +1 year option contract for similar or more fee with addons

We'd probably be offering him a decent signing on fee as well as a bigger salary than that. 2 years with an optional 3rd would be my guess.

He's worth at least £100k a week IMO. One of the best wing backs around currently and has elite experience.

Can perisic play Rwb or is he strictly a lwb

Perisic is 2 footed -takes penalties on right foot...BUT he is not a right wingback
I have seen some suggesting in twitter but its laughable.

He has played right winger in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 for 20 for 30 games in his career.

But as a RWB in a back 5 , he has played just4 times in his entire career

Conte isnt bringing Perisic to play RWB

Trix has said its between Perisic and Kostic and we wont get both so dont get carried away lads lol

If its between Perisic & Kostic, I prefer Kostic - but if its down to money, we may prefer Perisic given free transfer. I will be fine with either one of them.

I don't know if it's the case here but European teams/journos quite often describe their wages in NET form, i.e after tax. So probably more like £160k a week, which seems more realistic for someone of his status on a bosman.

Might be wrong though. At 80k a week he'd be a bargain.

Is he on a free or would a transfer fee be involved. If so, how much we talking here?
