Err, because they've left it this late? If we have Son's contract expiring in December and we don't offer him anything until November I'm going to say we had other players on our list of priorities to sign/renew...

Really liking the quick actions made by the club so far, from announcement of capital injection to some advanced-stage moves of signings. Well done. Perisic if to be done so early is a huge statement of intent.

Have watched the obligatory highlights video. Feel like he’s going to be a killer getting in good crosses for us, he’ll be able to go left, or right and whip them in. Coupled with Bastoni who‘s also got a decent cross on him, and Sonny too, our left side could be really really strong.
Feel like we need a really good RWB now who can get into the box and help put chances away. Harry and Deki won’t be able to do it all on their own.

It was in his hands to choose where he wants to be and chose us! They wanted him and offered him a new contract, so it was a priority for them.

It does yes but we also clearly need a lot more than that to really challenge for stuff in my opinion. We still have a couple of positions we really could improve on (central midfield, RWB and a backup forward)

I'm really excited by this one. His age isn't a concern, he's obviously one of those naturally fit players in the vein of Ronaldo who will play at a high level for a few more years.
