To be honest I don't think it is in Hugo's mind to stay at all, he's chosen to leave and that's final.

I'm surprised he hasn't got interest from the Saudi league.

They don’t seem to be signing many goalkeepers. I think Mendy is the only high profile one to depart for Saudi.

Pretty sure all parties have agreed Hugo is leaving and Postecoglu really confirmed what we all know yesterday. We haven't released him because it would be better if we can get a fee for him but I think that ship has sailed so we will release him this week and I'm sure it is all very amicable. I actually think clubs know he will be a free agent and he'll find some interest after that happens.
I wouldn't be surprised if if he did just hang up his boots to be honest.

I think this has been Hugo’s play all along. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him immediately join someone he’s already had an agreement with not long after the mutual agreement is announced. Its like the new variation of a bosman, bosman minus 1 year. And it wouldn’t surprise me if Dier is applying the same strategy.

But Hugo wants to be a starter, while Forster is happy being a back up. I think it would be terrible for squad morale to keep Hugo against his will.

He was a free signing so his wages will be higher than they would of we'd paid a transfer fee. No idea if £75k is right though.

Forster was the better and more reliable keeper last year, is home grown and also Lloris wants out. How in any way shape or form would this be a good decision?

If he's not agreed a move today I reckon we would just cancel / pay out his contract so that he's a free agent to be picked up by any club even when the window has closed.
