A lot of pundits and others are making the mistake that we are just the Kane and Son show but I've always been confident that certain players were just lacking rhythm that only comes with regular game time.

Lo Celso is definitely one of those and I expect once we play more defensive teams he will be a very useful tool as he's willing to probe and take on player's.

I think him and Ndombele like to pick up the same spots and both look to do the same actions which is why they got in each other's way a couple of times. They'll get better at knowing where to position themselves and who will take responsibility and when.

Bergwijn is looking sharper and I reckon he will contribute a lot in the second half barring injuries, Vinicius and Bale hopefully will play a larger part once they get more and more game time.

The league has NOT seen the best of us yet.

Ndombele was pretty rubbish when he came on so I'd be inclined to start gio on sun but then again he has played a lot this week.

He looked fitter last night. Glad he scored as well, he should be producing more in that regard. We need goals from all over the team.

Played really well. If we can get him Hojbjerg and Tanguy together when all are for an firing that is one of the best midfields in the PL

He is great, just worried about him getting injured, his skill and work-rate are great as always. Midfield is often hardest to fill correctly and him, Ndombele and Hojbjerg should be more than good enough for the next couple of years (hopefully the likes of Skipp and White start running the show after them).

the opposition were poor so im not going to get my expectations up too much for the harder games yet but that was one of the most exciting CM performances I have seen for Spurs for a long time.

I heard a very interesting segment on a podcast where they were talking about Lo Celso and whether his style of play could work in a 3 with Hojbjerg and Ndombele. The analysis was that Lo Celso seems to do everything at a 100mph, his closing, his passing, his running, tackling - everything. So playing in him that DMC role with PEH would mean we lack positional control because (like Lamela) he'd be chasing the ball down. Then you could say he should be in the AMC slot with Ndombele behind with PEH but then you still lose that defensive discipline and GLC is less able to influence the game.

It was a really interesting piece (on the extra inch i think with Harry Brooks)

More statistics.
751 Minutes played = 8 complete games
5 goals.
Good number, I hope he doesn't have more injuries this season.

Interesting - will try and have a listen.

For me, against the better teams, playing Sissoko alongside PEH with both dropping in between CBs and FBs makes sense and shows we can shut out the likes of Chelsea and Man C. However, I think we an evolve further by playing Ndombele deeper alongside PEH with Lo Celso in front of them, against weaker teams and let Ndombele dictate the game from deeper. Having Rodon (who is actually deceptively quick by all accounts) or Sanchez alongside Dier will help as we can play a higher defensive line.

I would start him on sunday for the simple fact we have liverpool on wednesday and let ndombele come on at 60minutes as i feel he has more of an impact from the bench than lo celso would have

I understand why you would think Ndombele could dictate the play from deep but the addition of GLC in front of him doesn't provide an extra runner making penetrating runs because I think GLC would be dropping deep. If on the other hand you played Dele in ahead of him that could actually work very well.

Don't get me wrong, I like GLC very much but I don't see him as the type to get beyond the forwards. I think he's more of a playmaker than a finisher (the point that he recently scored twice isn't lost on me either)

Not sure the boys 100% fit & playing RA isn't playing in the Prem, but I would love to see us get to a point where he & N'Dombele play in the team & until we can I'm not sure we can really challenge for anything.

Hojbjerg sitting in fron of the back 4 with N'Dombele & Lo Celso in front with Kane, Son & either Bale or Dele at their best in front of them & I think we're pretty much good enough to take on anybody in the Prem or Europe, but all of them would have to be playing at the level Kane & Son tend to do week in week out.

Not sold on GLC at all and im fairly sure if he played for any other team in the league he'd barely get a mention on here from week to week.

HIs attitude is great and I love the tenacity but think we have been sold a pup.

It does seem like Gio and Tanguy are destined not to be on the pitch at the same time and positively influence the game. On paper, both of them should work well but it just never looks functional. Hope it isn't a long term injury as we'll suffer even more having to play Kane as the lone creative AM.
