We are truly in the days of zero patience and instant gratification. He's a great player that had a poor game, returning from injury. He will be starting more often than not by the new year.

Yeah I'm a bit astonished at this thread tbh even by SC's standards the reaction is mental

People get a bit precious

No one has slagged him off that I have read - saying he is a great player doesn't make it so - he has been ok good at times and there is potential but he has a way to go yet hopefully he gets there

Its ok to criticise players

Gold.

New posts on player threads after a poor match will always be seen by some as slagging off when those are mainly open discussions. Some just get twitchy too easily. ?‍♂️

Agree re the plethora of complainers convinced SC has entered some dark age . No, we just have more sensitive complainers imo.

...And I said GLC WAS a great player last season , be appreciated if you read posts better .

He's the nearly man.. Nearly a defence splitting pass, nearly a curling left footed drive into the top corner, nearly a surging run with an end product.
There is a player in there somewhere, but you never know when and where it will appear.
Nearly scoring against Man City

Feel for him a bit, 30 mins here and there, long haul back to S America, difficult to generate real fitness and rhythm

shit the other night though, nothing came off

I agree there is a player in there - we've seen it from time to time, I guess the frustration on here is that we would all like to see it more often - even if there seem to be reasons why that it is not the case. As far as the LASK game goes, it looked to me as though he was 'waiting' to become invloved rather than 'looking' to get invloved. As Jose says, it's about attitude and application.

Thought Gio was a really important player for us in the first half, always nipping at the heels and winning second balls before trying to release it forward etc.

Once that mug Atkinson booked him it took him out the game, I was fuming that he booked Gio for that, but that thug Xhaka got away with almost everything.

Second half he tired and went out of the game, lots of positives for him though.

I couldn't see the Match. How was Gio? A neighbor told me that his match was terrifying, is it true?

Really important game for him, especially after how difficult Thursday was. He did his job well and made the right decision in the big moment. Step in the right direction.

I have no idea what your neighbour is on about other than when lacazette dived whilst gio was already on a yellow. Gio even got the ball. It wasn't a world class performance but he did his job well and was key to the 2nd goal.

So was I. How Xhaka escaped a yellow when wrestling Kane to the ground I will never know.

Good for Gio then. He is a fan of Tanguy, I think he was sad because he was not present.
