I'm no expert, but the logic of how we reintegrate players seems pretty random to me. Kane gets straight back into the team after being rushed back from injury, but Lo Celso is apparently not deemed fit enough to start after 3 weeks of training with the club.

We're gagging for a player who can put his foot on the ball, break the lines and provide us with a bit of creative impetus. Put him in Poch!

And if it's because he's not considered tactically up to speed, our tactics have been so shit recently that maybe that's not such a bad thing.
The only thing I can think of is that he doesn't want to rush Lo Celso in and then him have a poor game or two and he loses confidence. With Kane, Poch always wants him back in asap to boost our firepower up front and I guess Poch will always see him as being able to seemlessly fit back in whereas Lo Celso is new. I hope that he does start soon though but that people are patient with him.

I thought he wasn’t fit enough to play for us, yet it seems he’s fit enough to fly half way around the worlds to play for Argentina. Strange one that

Really?

Btw - There are 2 full weeks since our last game and Argentina’s next game. He isn’t injured, Poch and the first team coaches just wanted him to get proper pre-season conditioning work under his belt and acclimatise to his team mates, premier league, language, etc. I imagine he’s very close to being 100% from a conditioning perspective as it only takes ~3 weeks. As well as taking a conservative, precautionary approach with him you want to stop him representing his country?

You can just tell this lad is absolutely class. Just has that air about him. Touch, balance, composure.
I’m still not sure what type of player we’ve got our hands on yet... is he more of a Mata / Kroos / Mahrez or a Silva / De Bruyne / Eriksen type?

Those two groups of players are nothing like each other ... the closest being De Bruyne and Erisken.

Lo Celso and Ndombele will be the difference makers this season. I'm actually quite certain we would have won at Emirates today with them in the first eleven.

In todays match we were completely overrun in midfield. Even that Guendozi (...or whatever his name is) lad looked class even though we know he isn't fit to tie Ndombele's shoes.

I'll be very excited to see Ndombele, Alli, Eriksen & Lo Celso in the same team. It's scary the quality we will have going forward considering I haven't even mentioned Lucas, Son and Lamela.

He needs to start having more minutes after the intl break. 10 mins here and there wont improve his match sharpness and fitness.

What I gather though is he seems totally unfazed as if he is vacant. I am not going to use hyperbole to describe his cameo today but the little touches etc you can tell he has some great composure and awareness

Ok then I’ll re-word it... Is he more of an attacking midfielder breaking the lines supporting the striker or is he a creative playmaker who can spot and play the killer pass

He can do both. He can break the press, dribble with the ball at his feet and find killer passes. He'll be real quality. He's also got a very decent shot on him.

Completely agree. I really can't wait to see how we play the first time we line up with both Lo Celso and Ndombele in the team. I think the two of them will hugely improve everything that we've been recently lacking in midfield: creativity, ball retention under pressure, goal threat, tenacity and, most crucially of all, intelligence.

Quite like the look of this lad. Great control and first touch and can use both feet. It's a difficult league to play on but I'm sure he will do well

Was it Xhaka that chopped him down?

Then Gio gave him the Argentinian death stare. Didn't take long for Lamela to teach him that.

Seemed like he did a little bit of shithousing on Mkhitaryan while running past him, unless I was mistaken, so good to see he has that in him too

We’ve got Colchester 3 weeks today. You’d think that would be an ideal game for him to start. Hopefully he starts forcing his way into the team after that. He must be fit enough by now, just needs more bedding in time with the squad.
