atlantayid: It is happening
its not clarified if its itk or opinion but being treated as the former due to his itk badge
will put in itk thread if confirmed itk

edit: former, not latter

Oh this is a blast from the past, didn't he have some business connections with the club and ENIC through their work in the US and would occasionally get ITK? I seem to remember him being quite reliable though his info wasn't very regular.

Did he know Darren Eales or am I just totally remembering incorrectly and conflating the Atlanta part of it?

Think Atlantayid was the ITK that had close links to either Levy or Lewis.
Yeah, that seems right. I had a little look through the ITK archives and though Atlantayid rarely posts, when he does it's usually big picture stuff about Levy, Lewis and the club's plans going forward. Couldn't find him ever stating a transfer was done so this is a bit unlike him.

EDIT: He predicted an imminent signing the day before club legend Fazio signed. Also was right about us getting Poch as manager.

If Levy gets this done at 55 million, like valenciayid said we need to show appreciation on opening match day, I say we all shave our heads in appreciation.

I’m a monk and a virgin, modestly hung with a face like a slag of metal so excuse my ignorance. But does the atlantayid info mean very good news for the well-being of this ailing thread and its resident posters?

This is pretty much the issue with him.

Whilst he's an absolutely fantastic businessman who has undeniably raised our stature and profile off the field, and has got some good deals over the line in terms of recruitment, his pride to be the best negotiator in the deal is what puts us in these situations.

Should he just pay the 75m? Well, no, that wouldn't be right but it's the mindset of him not being seen to have given in and 'lost' the negotiation that is holding us back. It's backfiring now more than in the past as the climate has changed - clubs refuse to bend on their player estimation but neither will Levy.

The only loser though will be him if he can't find a way to start becoming less stubborn, otherwise he will lose the best manager we've had in years and then things will really start to become messy. He can still win negotiations simply by getting what Poch has asked for.
A fair argument but you haven't included the fact (ITK) that we actually came to an agreement twice, but on both occasions Betis reneged on the agreement resulting in our club (Levy) taking this stance.
