What the hell have I just read! Hell of a find though.

It does make sense from a Madrid perspective I guess. We'd never take Mariano + £40m so it'd be a better use of their resources. I believe the plan would fall flat however has he would have had 4 seperate registrations in one season (PSG/Betis/RM/Spurs) which is not allowed by FIFA rules.

The whole thing is tilted in Reals favour throughout the whole time frame, Levy wouldn't bend over if he is half the 'hard nosed' negotiator he is made out to be on here.

On this note, and this maybe should be put in the 'unpopular opinion thread' but I don't think Lo Celso is worth 75million of anyone's currency. The only thing they probably have right in the article is the fact Betis probably still owe PSG and still have to pay the % of sell on as well which is the thing most likely holding all this shit up.
