Lo celso is extremely creative. 1. He's limited in a terrible Argentina system where everything revolves around Messi in the middle. Lo Celso was playing so recessed because Messi needed the ball at his feet whenever possible. 2. Betis is a mid table team, the quality comes and goes. If he had a Harry Kane up top you wouldn't be judging his creativity off of stats, because he'd have them with better finishing..

The Messi point worries me a bit. In this season, Kane always drops back to a quasi-no.10 role (similar to Messi's role in arg). Hopefully with ndombele (and lo Celso) creating chances, Kane can be more involved as a pure striker.

If we can get this done soon too, I will be buzzing!
What a signal to send out, that we have arrived at the top table.

I actually think this is gonna happen.

By all accounts the player wants to join. Previous reports stated we had offered 60m euros, with Betis wanting the release clause 88m euros but likely to accept around 75 euros. Now this new report is saying we have upped our offer to 70m euros and information from the NDombele negotiations saying Levy was conducting Lo Celso talks in parallel. It's all pointing to us signing him IMO.

If we do sign him I guess it will be for less than 70 mil.

Just been listening to a podcast - an American one LOL - and they're saying Poch has been on the phone convincing the guy, telling him 'we're switching our attention to you now, we're signing you'

??

Great Dane off tho, Shirley?

Worth remembering that Lo Celso is still with Argentina until 6th July (Saturday) and so nothing would be completed before then you'd think.

Seems like good progress is being made though based on the recent updates which is exciting!

This would be a huge statement of intent. Yes it probably means Eriksen is off but at least Poch is being backed.

If Eriksen does leave I hope we sign another player on top of GLC so that we are better than last year not just standing still.

Is this guy actually any good? I’d never heard of him until we were first linked with him.

Does he appear to have a game suited to the PL?

But what were we analyzing? Lo Celso!
Our analysis doesn't matter. If the club want to sign him the will go for him. If poch want to play him in certain position he will do so. Won't ask from us. So whenever we see new post in some player thread I hope it is about his transfer not how he plays or what he did last night or the night before ........

That mean eriksen is off?
If he is then we would need another. This is the follow up to missing out on Barkley and Grealish in the last 2 summers. It's funny because we're getting a better player now anyway.

I would love to hear the complaints from rival fans if we sign Lo Celso after Ndombele and keep all our star players. After building the stadium too. They'll lose their shit. How the hell can we afford that without selling up they'll be wondering.
