Could it be as simple as they did everything bar the media stuff yesterday late in to the evening/night. Then sent him away and agreed a time this afternoon for him to come back for the media stuff? He has a family so probably would have wanted to help them settle.

I still believe this is 100% done.

Maybe they want to announce he’s coming home at halftime of the match between the two clubs that launched his career.

Reckon this is most likely. Yesterday PM could have been paperwork, training ground tour, meeting Levy, Mourinho etc, and perhaps further technical elements of medical.
Then they ran out of time to get decent photos and videos in daylight. So Reg and Bale probably stayed at the training ground and have been doing the media stuff this morning.

curlacious

Don’t look at me. I’m irrelevant.

Let’s face it if there was a problem yesterday that even hinted at threatening either deal that news would be out by now. The media love a good transfer meltdown story, especially SSN.

Don’t like simple. Obviously they are signing a striker and working on unveiling an amazing triple signing. ?

If the club honestly believes that I’m sad enough to stay up until 2am for ANOTHER night while waiting for the announcement

Then they’re absolutely right

They want SSN coverage to be all about this..... I can't see them interrupting Soccer Saturday while Jeff and the 3pm games are in action.

the socials have been very silent all day, no match preview, no best 5 goals against southampton, no mention of the under 18s beating arsenal 2-0 so im thinking theyre trying to go all out with this announcement and the whole media team are working on it

Sky Sports News means nothing, it's audiance share is microscopic.

Edit: And real people don't give a fuck about it
