Both Bale and Reggers arrived at Hotspur Way at 1:30pm today (or at least around that time).

In that time:

Both of them would have had to film an announcement video for the various social media outlets, give filmed first interviews, do some medical checks, sort the paperwork officially (with photography), maybe meet quite a few people as well.

That's a lot in 6 hours for just one transfer, let alone two.

What have all of you achieved since 2pm? Square root of fuck all I bet. Calm. It's not a failing of Tottenham Hotspur to not announce by a time you've plucked out of fat air.

Also, if Nathan has intentionally shared bullshit, he’s a tit. Maybe it’s an unreliable source. Don’t forget how readily we snaffle up any old nonsense from tabloids or a Twitter aggregator if we like the sound of it. Either way, the personal digs are unnecessary - you’re better than that.

My favourite "delayed" announcement was Chimbonda*. He was announced just before midnight on Deadline Day, but the pictures of him around the training ground and holding up the jersey were done in broad daylight.
