I'm hopeful that he'll stay but if that was his last game for the club it was a better 'goodbye than his previous one. His goals have led us to the promised land of the Europa Conference and put arsenal's 25 year European football streak to the sword. Legend!
Think we're doing Arse a favour tbh just like we did for Chelsea today. Only Spurs ....

Bale is world class. if we hadnt had his goals and assists this season we would barely scrape top half. despite Mourinho not playing him. if we get any chance of keeping him, its a no brainer imo

As mad as it sounds, I'd be more bothered with Bale leaving than Kane. Don't get me wrong, Kane is the more productive player, but I just actively enjoy watching Bale play more. He is better on the ball and he is one of the few players we have that would make me pay to watch us play at the moment.

Honestly the people who say we shouldn't play him or that he's past it are nuts.

its only cos he is over 30. his stats, per game, are still as good as anyone

Don't really care what Chelsea do, they finished where they did because of how many points they accumulated. As for Arsenal and despite their protests, they were mostly desperate to finish above us and would have been bragging about it to any who chose to listen!

Yeah, that's fair enough. Get some joy where we can. It's probably better that Chelsea and Liverpool are in the CL next season anyway just because they'll have the demands to use their squads more.

Mourinho should be charged for crimes against football for the way he treated Bale,,yet Bale kept his own counsel and just got on with it,huge credit to him for that, has been easily the most clinical finisher in the league this season, absolute class, really hope he stays.

A mate just suggested he’s heard a rumour Bale is going to join the PGA tour? That’s utterly insane, but part of me would love the chaos effect of that, I have to admit,

Say his wages cost £10m next season, where else we gonna get a 10 goals + 10 assists in all comps player for that? He has genuine quality not many players have, and is worth having around even if he just plays against the bottom half teams and in the crunch Bananarama Conference games

Plus the experience of not only a multiple champions league winner, but perhaps the scorer of the greatest CL final goal of all time.

I was another who was wrong about him. With Harry leaving we need Bale's quality, even though he may not have the work rate. I'd play him centrally behind a striker and let him have as much of the ball as possible.

It’s a batshit crazy rumour, gotta love it hahah

while he would have to qualify for the pga tour and it would be amazing if he could, him attempting to hit a professional tour of some type may not be as crazy as people think. This is a stretch but if Tottenham has the first right of refusal, you would think we would re-up him. It's not his choice if our ITK and others are correct about the contract. If he then goes on and says it his decision, then the only thing he could choose is play for spurs (no chaos) or retire and do something different. He thinks differently than the rest of us and is a loner by all accounts. It would be mildly surprising if he did but not outlandish.

Isn't he a 2 handicap? You aren't getting on the tour playing anything under +5, and you can't ever have a day off. Watch the videos of Jimmy Bullard playing in a European Tour event and even though he's scratch/+1 he couldn't even touch the guys around him.
