Have we ever not complained about RB?? Maybe Steve Carr was the last I dont remember us complaining about. Even Walker used to get plenty of stick.

Doherty - "All round poor"
Aurier - "Extra brain fart prone"
Trippier - "Cant defend & slow"
Walker - "Brain fart prone"
Hutton - "Generally awful"
Corluka - "Too slow"
Chimbonda - "Poor attitude"
Stalteri - "Slow & error prone"
Pamarot - "Worst RB we've ever had"
S.Kelly - "Not strong enough"
Taricco - "Error prone"

Even the top rated RBs at the moment like Trent-Alexander are not great at everything.

I'd be delighted if Emerson is just relatively solid and is able to deliver some decent crosses in the games that he is able to get forward in.
Corluka was class. His pace wasn't an issue as he was a proper full back.

Charlie was also the perfect man to put behind Lennon on that right hand side, he was so good Lennon had the freedom to do whatever he wanted and it's absolutely no coincidence that Lennon's two best seasons for us were with Corluka behind him and that his form tailed off as soon as Walker became first choice.

It’s amazing the players that I just forget about even though I never used to miss a home game.
Pamarot! Lol, not very good but his legs were the size of my body.

Hutton was MOTM at my first trip to the Lane. I think it was his finest moment as a pro! Corluka was great but my god was he slow. It was fascinating how he slow he was and could still be a professional footballer.

IIRC he wasn't actually slow slow (he was positively Usain Bolt when compared with Fazio) he just had a strange gait/running style, don't get me wrong he was no Kyle Walker but he could get a wriggle on when he had to.

He was very good always liked the fella.

Yeah old Charlie was class. Definitely sold him a bit too early - he's still playing!
Looks like he retired this summer and is a coach at Lokomotiv Moscow.

Loved Corluka. Very good player but he did always look like he was running in sand to me.

Did we not play against him recently? My memory is he was on the bench for a europa game? I've definitely seen him recently unless he's part of the Croatia setup or player coach or something.

Good defender! Turning circle of a barge.

How dare you, that was the classic example of the crab defence strategy...

Your challenge is to now get the phrase "crab defensive strategies" into a work email/telephone correspondence preferably with someone senior to your position. You get a bonus point for getting it to go viral around internal memos you get another bonus point if it's repeated verbally back to you without prompting at a later date!

Quite simply that if he was that injured, the manager wouldn't have selected him.

Every now and again I hear reports of player X not telling anyone he is injured so that he will continue play. In turn, this leads to mistakes on the field.

"I thought the club wanted me to stay. I played on Sunday as a starter, the next day I woke up and went to train quietly. There I already began to see that a lot of things were coming out; that Tottenham was talking to Barcelona, they had it almost done"

"I didn't understand anything about what was happening because I didn't know anything. In the afternoon the club called me to go to the Sports City because they wanted to talk to me and there I already found out that they wanted to sell me."

"I'm smart and there came a time when I realized that they were telling me to leave yes or yes. How did your family take it when they told you? They were stunned, as I was when they told me".

Interesting quotes. Confirms Para likes to talk detailed to clubs before the players. Think thats a bit weird?
