Clyne was a decent player. I think he's more Wan-Bissaka myself in terms of strengths and weaknesses. But plenty of scope to improve. Buy.Yeah! Let's all get excited on spending 15m on the next Nathaniel Clyne!

Agreed. IT SHOULD BE EVERY POST.I hate this forum when people insist on puns every other post
Yes but they do show him getting into dangerous positions, there’s at least 3 balls he plays into the area (one begging to be tapped in that goes across the goal), 3 or 4 that he scores and some great defending. Under Conte he will do well if we get him.Noticeable though, how a lot of the highlights cut out before he plays the final cross. That's a consistent concern for me based on the games I've watched him play. I appreciate him being young and raw and all that, but anyone expecting him to come in and start on at RWB is really reaching, imo.

Puns are great, but not at the expence of a good threadI hate this forum when people insist on puns every other post
You mean eSpence ?Puns are great, but not at the expence of a good thread
TBH i think its more a case of our RWB spot being probably the weakest position in the squad and the one in most dyer need of improvement that some are a little apprehensive about our only addition in that position is a 21 year old who still looks raw. Personally, as well as Doherty did, he only really played well in maybe 4/5 games towards the end of the season and then had a pretty hefty injury, there is no guarantee he will re find the same form he did. Of course he may well do, but ether way i see it as a gamble in a position that is pivotal for our tactics. Thats not to say I don't want Spence, he could become a very good player and its always great to invest in promising youth players, its just for me id prefer it if he came alongside another more developed option. It’s just odd how a huge chunk of the fan base are always complaining we miss out on championship talents and then when we could buy a championship player who made the TOTY in the division in a position of need, we’re acting all entitled like he’s below us. In the premier league alone, there’s Guehi, Olise, Eze, Barnes, Maddison, Bowen, Benrahma, Ben White, James, Mount, Webster, Watkins, and Skipp who have followed up successful championship seasons with solid-to-great premier league season(s). And that’s before mentioning recent championship sides like Wolves and Brentford having successful seasons in the prem with much of their squads the same as the one they got promoted with. And of course Bellingham is now a 100+ mil player just a few years after leaving England. Tomori also had loans in the championship and just won a Scudetto. I am fully behind the move in isolation, and Conte wanting him (if he actually does) is just further confirmation this would be a great move.
I feel like it's all or nothing with Spence. We either integrate him straight into the first team and him and Doc rotate according to the opposition/competition, or we don't buy him at all.TBH i think its more a case of our RWB spot being probably the weakest position in the squad and the one in most dyer need of improvement that some are a little apprehensive about our only addition in that position is a 21 year old who still looks raw. Their names also both begin with ‘s’ as well!I've only watched comps of Singo and Spence, but they are quite similar. The one area where Singo falls down in the comparison is his close control.
Sorry, I thought you had a spence of humour, my badI hate this forum when people insist on puns every other post
