He went to Ibiza last summer, easier to score chicks there if you know Spanish, not that footballers need a lot of help.
That may well be the explanaition. The language barrier was a major issue when I tried to pick up chicks in Italy last summer. That and the fact that those who looked 20 actually were 15, and those who were my age looked 40.

Not sure if this has been posted...

Dele and Eric went live on instagram. Really interesting seeing a different side to lots of the players. Link is here:

I don't want to scare you, but...Eric says that Dele has been learning spanish...and Dele starts reeling off some spanish greetings...

One would think he is preparing himself for a move to Spain...

interesting! - i skipped through it and at one point the camera was on Jan and Eric showed his protective boot. Around 9 mins in.

Jan gave it the old thumbs down, blew a raspberry and said "my ankles like a chocolate fireman"

Love when Kyle said Tottenham till I die, we really do have some lovely lads playing for us, I think Poch has really let them grow together, the team spirit is better than I have ever seen quite frankly.

Also I think the Dele thing is just because they are off to barca, harmless joke. He even said "Do you think Dele will go to Madrid" to which Dele said "What, on holiday?" followed by laughter.

Correct, when Gerrard played in a comparable position, in behind Torres, he was hitting 20+ a season.

The comparisons are still fair though. Despite the obvious creativity and prolificness(sic?) of Dele, I still think his best position is going to be the all action, box to box midfielder that the likes of Gerrard and Robson were.

But right now... make hay sunshine.
The most Gerrard ever scored in the league was 16 and he only ever scored more than Alli's 11 PL goals so far this season twice. Also Gerrard scored a lot from the penalty spot and played games against lower league teams (scored 3 v Luton) and CL qualifying minnows (he scored 7 in 4 games against The New Saints and FBK Kaunas) that I think Alli would be rested for.

If you don't include penalties, he only scored 20 in all comps once and that was the year he scored 7 v The New Saints and FBK Kaunas.

Not trying to take anything away from Gerrard but Alli is doing fantastic from a goal scoring point of view from AM.

I know it's inevitable, but I wish the media and everyone would stop comparing Alli to Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes etc etc. The only one he's in any way similar to is Lampard. It's unfair on both him and the other players in question.

Although Gerrard spent a couple of seasons playing behind Torres, most of his career was spent in the centre of midfield, often as a DM. He even played right back on occasions. And his goals were usually from outside the box, unlike Alli. Gerrard was an all action true "Roy of the Rovers" type and probably one of the best ever PL players and if Alli goes on to be half as good as him then he'll have done well.

Good point, we may as well run him out of the club in the mean time to avoid being hurt then.

I rated Gerrard highly but I think you are over rating him here.

He played more than 2 seasons behind the striker and often played RW too.

1/4 of his goals were outside the box but also 1/4 were of his goals were penalties.

In regards to Gerrard being "all action", Alli averages more tackles, interceptions, assists, goals and passes per game than Gerrard.

Gerrard was great at scoring from distance and long range "Hollywood" passes but he tried the latter far too often to no avail when he should have gone for the simpler pass.

Agreed, also he played often in a two in a old skool box to box 4-4-2 system, he rarely played as a strict DM
