Still feel he’s a weakness. I can forgive he lack of pace but so many attacks broke down through him. In the opening 2 mins he had an easy pace to solomun to put him in and he fluffed it.
I think Johnson will offer a lot more and cause more problems with his pace

I feel like last season he was swinging crosses in towards the back post everytime he got a yard of space as we were very cross reliant.

This season the emphasis seems to be on low cut backs from the byline and not just crossing it hoping Kane will stick a head to it.

Thats a big part of Kulu's game changed so I think he's just adjusting. Definitely enough to be encouraged about and could've had an assist if Son's touch was better early in the second half.

Kulu can frustrate me because he checks back a lot but he holds the ball up from defence to attack, at times he’s like a centre forward holding the ball up but wide

Think Kulu's work defensively and offensively is a bit underrated. He definitely needs to produce more in terms of assists and goals, but he's been a very good presser and ball-winner so far as well as very good at holding the ball up and keeping possession in different areas of the pitch. Also had several good runs in behind. To me it looks like he's moving in the right direction.

Cross-posted in Controversial Opinions lol…

… but what if we tried Deki in midfield in place of Sarr (Kulu prefers the no 10), with Johnson coming in at RW?
That would be really daft as you can’t underestimate the importance of engine room midfielders.

When playing Son up front rather than a traditional big fella this may be a key skill of his

Some really good points. He has really helped us control games this season.

Hopefully he will stop overthinking things with the final ball soon, but far too many seem to judge him solely on how many times he beats a player. There's so much more to this guy's game.

Think the signing of Johnson will do a lot of good to Kulu's form. Having followed him closely as a Swede, he absolutely hates being on the bench. He does not want to end up in a similar position to what happened at Juve.

He also has a history of being a threat from the bench, doing a double assist for Sweden in the Euros, double assist vs Leicester and assisting Kane within a minute of coming on against Liverpool.

The fact that the team is playing well and we still have players like Kulu and Richy to come into form, is a positive for me.

Only thing missing today was that final ball. I thought his overall movement and build up play was outstanding. Just wasn't incisive in that final third.

Lots went through Kulusevski, and their defenders put a lot of time into him. He was a big part of the reason why Son and Solomon had so much space.

Interestingly he believes he’s one of our fastest players over 100m if that’s true it’s certainly not true with the ball

Looked like a young de bruyne in that first 6 months hopefully he gets somewhere back to near that

What we have now is options which is what a squad is all about. Kulu and Johnson are very different players but both very good.

To be able to change up our attacking options makes it harder for teams to defend against. Ange will love that.

Looks comfortable in central areas judging by that goal. Would love to see him play in midfield alongside bissouma and maddison against a low block such as Sheffield Utd. I recon he'd do well.
