Im from Sweden and follow spurs and the Swedish nationalteam frequently.

Im telling you right now, he is gonna be another flop for us.

Really, really sad news if this has legs.

Can confirm, he does have legs.

A little bit of FIFA research also tells me, he's going to be better than Diaz anyway.

Glongari has been extremely reliable.

So we enquired late december and its taken a month?!

Absolutely nothing against the player btw.
Yeah, because... You know. We might have had some other targets who we couldn't reach an agreement with higher on our list.

It’s worth going to watch his impact during the World Cup games for Sweden - everyone remembers Isak for that goal… but this guy terrorized Poland and set up two or three of the goals. The defenders had no clue how to handle him and he was relentless, driving forward all the time, just running at them, taking them on. Based on those appearances, and his age, I reckon there’s a talent in there. Gotta trust Conte to bring it out if this is our guy.

Worth bearing in mind that he was playing with Ronaldo last year, who seems to make everyone around him worse.

This year he’s only managed 5 starts. Seems like he could do with a fresh start.

As others have said he was an elite young talent only 18 months ago after a stellar year at Parma.

He is not favoured by Allegri and big reason is thee way Allegri plays has alot to do with that, rather than the player himself

Seems very similar to De Ketelaere in terms of build and style of play as well as age so guess it comes down to financials so if Paratici can finesse a loan move from Juve then this perhaps makes more sense.

Haven't seen enough either to be honest so will rely on more informed opinions but does highlight the desire from the club to bring in a wide forward.

It is clear he is a back up option. That doesn’t mean he’s more or less likely to flop, but naturally Conte and FP don’t think he’s as good as other players we’ve tried to sign in front of him.

Still if it’s a loan it’s a stop gap until the summer.

Seems like such a Conte player. At 19 on Parma he finished with 10 goals and 9 assists, and ranked 2nd in kilometers covered. He also had a very good age 20 season at Juve. He's now only 21, has shown top end work rate, consistent end product, and willingness and ability to press successfully.

I'm not saying he's a sure thing by any means, it is definitely a red flag that he isn't an outright starter for a 4th place Juve, but if he was starting for them he wouldn't be an option for us. Being realistic about Tottenham squad building long term, clearly we won't be getting the cream of the crop transfers as we cant pay over the market and without Champions League we will never be a destination players will choose over the top clubs in the world. Therefore we should be looking for players of his profile. 21 year olds with potential, skills, and question marks. If it doesn't work out we can sell a 23 year old player in 2 years and not lose much.

I'd love to see what Conte could do to mold a hard working skilled young player like Kulusevski.

And this is a one off opportunity to get one of the top young prospects in world football on a loan to buy deal. He’s had a tough time the last 12-18 months, but before that he was already tearing up Serie A at 18/19 and incredibly highly rated.

Conte was promised an attacker, not a striker, and when you can get a young one with bags of talent you do it.

Yeah seems like it’s this guy for attacking midfield. Amrabat for central midfielder. Which just leaves us going for a new right sided player (if we can sell Doherty). If the positions we’ve been told conte wants fresh blood in are those three.

Also with him coming in I wonder if there’s been progress on Dele or GLC leaving the club.

As a Swede I've been following him quite closely and he is a really good player.

With us missing out on Diaz, I feel this is a bit underwhelming but at the same time I'm positive he fits the squad and our needs better.

He's an incredibly hardworking player, and has some Lamela in him in that sense. Still young, and can booth shoot and pass. High IQ, and with a good ball carrying ability.

I really like him playing in a forward duo for Sweden and could see him doing well as a back up to Kane if we're going 3-5-2, but I think he fits the inside 10 role very well with us too.

I'd rather we did splash some cash on Rapinha but this is not in any way a bad deal. Conte wanted him at Inter too.

Some will laugh but Lamela as a stylistic match up very much interests me. If we could have a player with the tenacity of Lamela that wasn't constantly injured I think that'd be a good fit for Conte's Spurs.

I do really feel like this signing requires a more attacking RWB option to get the most out of him however.

If its Loan with option to buy then why not I guess. As long as "Diaz" funds are put into areas we really need strengthening.

All criticisms aside, who else is available, affordable, fits the brief for a WF, and improves the squad?

Seems odd that a winger is our main priority when all the early noises were that a RWB, CM and ST were the priority

Are we making do with Bergwijn striker backup until the summer and filling his spot at LW/RW backup?

Bergwijn does really seem to have that ability to hold the ball up rather well. I think it's a real possibility.
