There in lies the problem, he's the best of the bunch and the only one with interest for that exact reason!! So what do you do, sell him because you can regardless of his ability over others?
Ideally, All three should go and two upgrades brought in. If we were a different club, I’d say that wouldn’t be too difficult. But the lack of competence of lining that up means we will never achieve it

I think the big unknown in all this is Ange himself and what he is saying internally and how forceful he might be about why he wants the club to do at CB.

Dav out and tosin in (both linked to Monaco) works for me
Bumps up our hg numbers

then get Tanganga and dier out the door and bring in the final LCB

Just tell these players that they aren’t in the first team squad anymore, don’t register them. If they have any ambition they’ll move on. To be fair to Dier I think he would want to play. Ndombele probably not.
What happens to our ability to recruit when word gets round that this is how we treat players?

Sanchez has all of the key ingredients as a player to have been a top top player.
Unfortunately, its almost like he is a jigsaw.
Take the jigsaw out of the box, some pieces are facing up, some facing down and its all a muddle.
This is Davinson more often than not.
But when all of his pieces are in order, he is a beautiful jigsaw

He’s 18. He’s not going to be one of our 4 starting cbs
Then you still would have three new CB plus Romero. How should they all settle in and get a fair share of game time especially without European football? I agree we need one more to cover problems with Micky and Cuti, but that would be more than enough for this window.

We will not have "4 starting cbs", especially without a European competition to play in. Our best bet is to move a couple of CBs and bring in someone that can cover either either side as well as compete for 1st team minutes, with one of the current CBs being our 4th.

Davies is probably the obvious one, limited player but less so than Dier, Ange played him over the others in preseason and if Reggie is off Davies covers LB as well.

I can’t see this being an issue. The players we should be looking to recruit should be aiming to start. It’s not exactly poor treatment, if a player isn’t in our plans we shouldn’t be creating space for them.

The alternative is to put up with players you know aren’t good enough

No thanks!

Well, just need to accept its not a football manager game. Demanding two more CBs is just not happening for various reasons.
The various reasons being what?

selling/loaning Sanchez and Dier and replacing with Tapsoba and Tosin (or Schuurs or others) does not seem unrealistic.

clubs have always aimed to have two top players for every position.

I think you keep Davies, Sell Dier and Sanchez because you can't have too many players infront of Phillips otherwise he will never develop to where he is useful.

To be fair to Sanchez he has done well since Ange took over but we've had these mini renaissance's before. I think it's the right time to sell with 1 year left on his contract and put it towards a new CB rather than him leave on a free in a years time.
The last thing we want is him to see out his final year and be given a contract extension.

I agree that of three CBs that we're looking to move on (Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga), he's the best fit for Ange. But, I think we should move him on if we get a half-decent offer because:
  1. I would expect he wants to move for his own career rather than sticking around as 4th choice.
  2. If he sticks around, I'm sure some at the club will want to sign him to an extension to "keep his value up" so he doesn't leave on a free. Would we be happy with that?
  3. While he has looked better in the last couple of games (and I generally have a lot of love for his commitment as a professional), we know there are shortcomings in his game and I think, like Dier and Tanganga, we need to move on from any of them that we can get offers for and replace with younger and (hopefully) better.
The realistic ideal for me is that all three of Dier, Sanchez, and Tanganga are gone by the beginning of next season, either through a transfer this summer or their contracts ending next summer. Given that, it's best to get some money for them now.

Several teams have approached the Tottenham to find out the conditions of Dávinson Sánchez. Monaco would make an official offer in the next few hours; there are already advanced dialogues.

Solid source for Colombian players

Shame. Decent player.

If the fans, Conte/Mourinho hadn't completely ruined the guys confidence I would have been keen to keep him as fourth choice.
