Read on another site we have a better ppg under Conte with Sanchez rather than Romero
Big drop off, apparently not,.
People are so biased and blind about Sanchez, it's tragic
Reminds me of all the nonsense that used to be talked about Davies

Yeah he's never done anything wrong it's just our bias. This is some Jedi mind trick or something

The issue with Sanchez is when he’s put under pressure. He panics and can’t trust his technique on the ball. He also, as others have said, just cannot read the flight of the ball.

He did ok today but he really wasn’t tested. Wolves were toothless up front. And that’s the issue, people forget about what he’s like under pressure due to games like this one.

Of course there were positives scattered within his performance but all the old Davinson hallmarks were there too. I’ve never thought he was good enough to do well for a top 4 team and I still think we should be looking at options to upgrade him.

I’m not his biggest fan, but how likely are we to find a better back-up RCB than Sanchez?

Ok today, but will always give those heart attack moments, like b4 half time when he badly misread flight and almost cost us a goal, stood up well near the end. Still not great with ball at his feet, but has improved, but teams know he is not comfortable and have no fear when he has it.

Played well. The issue I have with him is when he plays we have a back three that is so limited in moving the ball. Romero adds that ability. Today in the first half Dier and Davies were poor in possession and Sanchez adds nothing there.

Most confident and composed he’s looked since we signed him. Happy for big Dav, knew there was a player in there just needed good coaching and a confidence boost

He's a great back up.

Yes he has limitations, on the ball against an aggressive press etc

But who else are you getting who will accept being on the bench a lot but still has a great attitude?

Integral part of the squad imo.

I thought he did fine defensively yesterday, but I can’t understand how a professional footballer can fail to get the ball over the halfway line when hoofing clearances from the edge of the penalty area so many times. It looks like he is kicking a balloon. He should be putting the ball out of play in the opponent’s half to relieve pressure rather than kicking it almost straight up in the air into the centre circle.

He’s so poor on the ball though. His clearances are always straight to the opposition. I do agree when people say we probably won’t find a better under study and I credit him for that, but his passing is woeful and he’s still prone to liability moments and he had a moment today.

We need better ball playing CBS in our defence. Romero adds that. Sanchez Dier and Davies are all poor at it.

I do think one of the things holding us back is our CBs. They need to offer more on the ball in a Conte system.
