Funny I’m sat here waiting and hoping for this signing (rather bakayoko) when most other deadline day signings I’m begging for were the likes of Dybala, skriniar, vlahovic etc. oh how we’ve fallen

Has anyone actually watched him play? I don't bother watching YouTube videos but it would be nice to know what can we expect from him.

Chelsea have literally been linked with him all summer as well. Also why do people still come out with this shit every summer, who else was fucking interested in Bissouma and Bentancur?
Actually didn't know this, so thanks for the info.

Huge amount of money for a guy who’s career stalled when he stepped up to the Prem

Should have ripped it up last season if he was going to become ‘a player’

Hope I’m proved wrong and obviously wish him all the best if he comes but to compare him to Mane is well wide of the mark

Mane looked the real deal at Southampton and he turned out to be exactly that at Liverpool. Absolutely fantastic, world class player

Bale couldn't buy a win to begin with.. . That's what's giving me a small glimmer of hope.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I don't feel like that - as long as Ange is getting players that he can work with and suit his system then that should be a good thing.

Of course we’ve seen him play, on numerous occasions

Most of us know what to expect but we’ve got our fingers crossed that he steps up to another level at the Lillywhites!

I don’t even really want the guy, but think saying someone’s career has stalled when they’ve stepped up a level, scored 8 goals in a struggling side at 21..bit harsh

Yep but tbf that wasn’t on him and Bale still looked fantastic when he first came in and we could see there was a huge talent about to explode

I don't think there was ever any serious interest from Chelsea.

I think he gives us something we don't have in terms of pace upfront.

He's not the Kane replacement but we seem to have given up on that idea anyway.

Its definitely a risk, particularly at the price, but it would be great to get in a young player who is already good and actually develop him into being great.

It's a transfer the likes of Conte and Mourinho would never have countenanced so I like it on that basis.

FWIW I still think we'll miss out.

He suffered ankle injury in preseason so will probably need some time to get to full fitness. Also why he looked meh so far in this season. Think we will regret spending so much on him (like Richarlison) but he's a decent player.

tbf I just looked up his stats for last season and for a 22 year old kid in his first year in the Prem they look very decent

8 league goals and double figures in total

I’ll zip up until the deals done and we’ve seen him a good few times 👍🏼

I disagree funnily enough. We are going back to what made us successful IMO.
