Going Brentford ….Sooo... Brennan Johnson then?
Going Brentford ….Sooo... Brennan Johnson then?
What the hell happened to all of the plans the club had for when Kane left? We were told they'd been preparing for that to happen for the last couple of years.
You seem to be defending this. 6th highest in the Premier League doesn't sound like the highest ambition to close the gap to the top teams competing for silverware.Haha so clever with the Donna comment. It’s the first time I’ve seen that one, good one.
Ok buddy let’s go over the last two s so that I don’t “double count”.
Spend - £350m
Sold - £140m
Net Spend - £210m.
Guess what……that puts us 6th in the highest in the Premier League.
Sooo... Brennan Johnson then?
A little knowledge is dangerous.Kulu and Porro like most of the players we sign, the transfer fee will be spread over a number of years.
So in Porro and Kulu, this will be the 2nd payment of the transfer fee, so we can't include the full transfer fee into this season expenditure.
The fact that, a month after selling Kane and buying nobody, our window is seemingly reliance on getting Brennan Johnson, who wasn't even in the top 10 winger targets most of us would have wanted.
Even if we get him and some shit back-up CB, we'll still be significantly weaker now than we were a month ago. That's a fact, and it's a disgrace. That £100m, as we all predicted, has gone absolutely nowhere.
I don't even know where to start with this... the stadium was always there to increase the value of Tottenham and spark further revenue streams for the ENIC kitty. The Kane deal was 75% upfront.. it is already confirmed we can spend over £400 million and still keep within FFP. I don't know how people still don't get it.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.A little knowledge is dangerous.
Both Porro and kulu were loans up until this year, and any fee until that point would be a loan fee directly against our P&L. If you are looking at net expenditure then it would be correct that their cost sit against this year.
What you are referring to is amortization of an asset against the balance sheet value, which is effectively an accounting mechanism for charging an asset over the duration of it's realisable life span...a very different thing.
So how the fuck did arsenal spend almost 200m this window, we are not the only one that was run at a loss the last three years. The difference between us and the lot down the road is the ambition of the chairman, they will do what it takes to win and we will do what it takes to get by.This line has begun being bandied about recently for some strange reason, perhaps since the Boehly takeover of Chelsea, and it boggles my mind.
400m headroom for FFP, does not mean we have the funds to commit 400m on transfers. We've run at a loss for three consecutive years, and while we are somewhat of cash-strong still, we are nowhere near the likes of Newcastle, Man City, Man United, and Chelsea in terms of spending power. How people don't get that is beyond me.
Eriksen and Vertongen replacements, glad we’ve finally got them but it’s took a while!they should be signed regardless of selling Kane or not
There are many differences. For one, Levy's wealth comes mainly from the valuation of THFC as a football club. He doesn't have that many assets that he can convert to solid funds to actually put into the club as most of it is already in THFC and any funds Joe puts in would dilute Levy's shares. Not to mention, even if Joe wanted to, the indictment in the US hanging over his head means he can't really do anything anyway because he's under so much scrutiny. So how the fuck did arsenal spend almost 200m this window, we are not the only one that was run at a loss the last three years. They signed Maddison and Van De Ven.
Just to add a point. I'm glad we're not Manchester United and in their messy situationI'm not going to join the idiots saying we've not spent enough money this summer. I'm happy with majority of the acquisitions but for us not to have a plan for life without Big H is absolutely shocking and Levy deserves the fans wrath that is coming to him. For me this is his final insult, and he needs to do the only thing left and leave, whichever way it takes. We have all had quite enough of this now and we deserve better.
What a shit plan.Looks like Richarlsion was the plan.
