I’ve not seen loads of him but have read that he puts in a good shift defensively. How true is this? If he does then he could bring more balance to our right flank when Porro is playing. In theory it could work really well for us with a goal threat and great crossing from both.

I like what I’ve seen of him in the half dozen games I’ve watched. … (the obligatory) if ange wants him …

On board with this. I think Ange can do something with him, and he has blistering pace and good feet with it. Could be exciting.

Haaland scored 72% of his goals against the bottom half teams last season. Most strikers score their goals against the crap teams...that's why the crap teams do badly, so seems an unfair stick to beat the guy with that he scored his goals against the worst teams when Forest were getting battered by everyone any good.

Anyone know if he can play in a central forward role to an adequate level for us?

If we only get one singing for the front line we really need someone who also can play in the middle in my opinion.

Watching him play for Forrest last year, and some flashes in Wales' games, you can see he has a good engine. Keeps running, tracks back, presses 100%. Then again, I hardly watched him enough to say with any certainty he plays that way all the time. It's a very small sample size.

Apparently Bradley Barcola has told Lyon he wants to leave but he wants to go to PSG. No deal agreed yet but not looking good for Chelsea. I only mention it as there was some tank that Johnson is their back up option but if he wants to come to us I’m not sure that really has much importance.

Sounds promising and looks an exciting talent going forward. I want to see Poro getting as involved as possible in the attack and this sounds like the type of player that could leave us less exposed while still being a goal threat in his own right.

Kulu puts a defensive shift in as well. He's hardly son when it comes to closing down.

Seems like there are quite a few against this move. Havent seen much of the lad but if you listen to big Ange he clearly values having players that offer something different in the squad and it sounds like this lad does that.

The Times reported Chelsea withdrew their interest as he wants to join us
He’s obviously got a sensible dad as well who knows football inside and out. And At the moment, Chelsea is a basket case of a club and so can’t see he’d be advising his son to go there.

It’s probably more about recovery pace. Johnson has it in spades compared to Deki.
I get that you are just trying to covey what the previous poster possibly meant (so this isn't necessarily aimed at you), but defensive recovery pace shouldn't really be a priority for a player in our front three, in order to make room for a fullback being more offensive. And Brennan would definitely not be brought in for that reason.

If that were the case we might as well promote Porro to RW and look for a new RB instead.

Deki is also more disciplined than most on the pitch, which is definitely more important than pace when it comes to providing occasional cover. With that said, I don't doubt Brennan have great defensive qualities as well. Personally I don't know enough about him.

Don’t agree with that at all. Of course it is a benefit to have players who can work defensively and have good pace in doing so. Covering for a full back is an important part of the system for midfielders and the wide men where the full back has got ahead of them. If a move breaks down the sooner we get numbers back the better.
Porro + Johnson is always going to be better offensively than New right back + Porro as Johnson is a much better attacker so I don’t get your point there at all.

It is indeed a benefit to have pace. Not sure why you would think I suggested otherwise?

I was simply saying (and not very seriously) it would be backwards to prioritize defensive qualities when recruiting an attacking player.

My main point, however, was that it is my belief that discipline and awareness is much more beneficial than pace for an attacking player having to provide defensive cover.
