I was thinking that Tim would at least light a fire under some of their asses which seemed to be one of the major issues.....so far it doesn't seem as if he has done that....they look disorganized and aren't playing Tim's "Blood and Thunder" style of passion

I just think Villa under his tenure is going to emphasise just how much he relied on Adebayor having something to prove for a couple of months and moments of individual brilliance from Eriksen for us last season. He really isn't anything special as a manager.

Do you mean like the way Poch depends so much on Harry Kanes goals.

See, at least under Poch there is a clear strategy, intent and team spirit. Under Sherwood, we had none. Nice try, though. Really. Valient effort.

So with all this strategy intent and team spirit...where exactly would we be without Harry Kane and with Soldado and Adebayor up front?

Why would Chelsea be without Costa or Hazards goals? Where would City be without Aguero's goals?

You can say it for any team with a striker who scores every other week. Numpty.

Harry's goals have helped, but if you are defending Sherwood over Poch you are deluded. We would probably have bought a striker in January if Harry wasn't in a rich vein of form.

What the fuck man....the day we started looking properly good under Poch was at home to Everton...kane didn't score that day but he played well and so did we as a team.

If you can't see the difference between that and Adebayor performing individually for Sherwood, you need footballing help!

It's debatable whether or not Kane would have had the same impact if Sherwood was still manager. Under Sherwood he was only really a foil to allow Adebayor to wander around doing whatever he wanted (usually not much) and we didn't see any of kind of play which has marked him out as such a talented player this season. The goals he scored at the end of last season were all decent finishes inside the box, and understandably no one predicted the emergence he's had this season. It was only until Pochettino used him as the focal point of the attack that he began to really shine, similar to how Bale became another player once AVB made him the focal point of the team through the middle.

Another thing to remember next time that fraud in the Midlands claims to have invented Harry Kane when he was 3 years old.

And you need to be a realist.

Liverpool look outrageously good so far. City seem to never get us a result when we need it. Liverpool's pace is devastating and City's centre backs look shellshocked.

Liverpool looking very sharp considering they played 120 minutes away to besiktas just 3 days ago. Hopefully they run out of steam later in the match.
