Ok...I'll hold my hands up and say I've never been a fan of his as IMO he was never fit to be mentioned in the same breath as Berbatov despite being seemingly signed as a replacement for him, but last night for me was the absolute final straw. No workrate, no touch, poor link up play and for 'the best finisher at the club' :)duh:), his shooting was completely shit.

All the tools in his locker, but honestly, I feel he contributes so little that it's time to get rid...the fact he played last night and got cup tied makes me think he's staying.

What's your opinion? Super Pav or Stupor Pav? Stick or twist?

Been disappointing recently, but I think he'll have something to prove when Adebayor's playing. Definitely our best striker behind Adebayor I think, certainly in terms of all round play and finishing. Might even be worth a punt as a pairing with Ade when VdV is injured/out of puff in the 65th minute.

I'd rather sell Crouch

But if we could get, say Damiao in, and sell Pav then I'd be ok with that

Isn't suited to the premier league

Clinical Finishing but....Too slow, no aggression and weak.

Big, big mistake to replace Berbatov with Pav and it set us back

Just because we have Adebayor who ideally will play the man up top role, we would still be stupid to sell Crouch, as even though he will not get the same amount of goals as Ade, he is the only one of our shower who can hold his own in that role. If Adebayor was to get injured in his first game we would be back to square one.

Pavlyuchenko and Defoe are like comparing Herpes and Genital Warts, ideally you want neither, and if you had to choose between the two you would be really hard pushed.

Much as I hate saying that players are 'shit' etc, Pav really tries my patience. I think I dislike him so much because other fans so inexplicably love him but I really can't wait for him to leave Spurs.

I find it amazing that so many people rate him but seemingly didn't rate Darren Bent even though the latter is a significantly better player.

Last night epitomised for me everything that is bad about Pav, and for me we see that far too regularly for him to be of any significant benefit to the club.

Still...at least he had a good song.

Ten goals for Pav in the EPL last year versus four each for Defoe and Crouch. I think he still has a place in the squad.

I'd rather keeping Defoe and Crouch ahead of him - thats says it all. He is never going to be a top player. Also he cant hold the ball up and doesnt work hard enough. TBH, he looks a championship player at best.

In a ideal world you would want to get rid of all 3 jokers we got on our books and bring fresh talent in, sick to death of seeing the 3 of them in our shirt.....

I think that's the reason people love him. We've been below par with creativity for songs since BMJ left WHL, and this is a song that's a new(ish) beat for fans!

He's a really bad player. A once in a blue moon wonder goal or 2 isn't enough. Get rid. At least Crouch offers assists and hassles opposition defences at times.

Russia's not in the EU and he's 30 in December...£14m and we signed him at 26...

Flop? I say yes.

What's the Russia not being in the EU got to do with anything?

Well sorry, he's not one of the home grown contingent even...probably on tidy enough wages as well, which I don't think he's ever earned.

He and Crouch are both as useless as each other. Ship them both off as quickly as possible. Defoe and Ade - theoretically a partnership made in heaven. We don't need these 2. Never have tbh.

Have you watched pav's all round play? It's shite, he can't hold the ball very well, is poor in the air, passing isnt up to much and doesnt have much speed. The only thing I've always thought he was good at was shooting (not by last nights standards though).

Time to get rid, hopefully someones not done too much homework on him and will take him!

I've said it before and i'll say it again - the difference between Pav and Defoe is that when either are not playing well, which quite honestly is a regular occurance, Pavlyuchenko is still much more likely to score us a goal and that has to be a huge factor to consider.

Is he good enough to take us forward though? A firm no.

I'd keep him over Defoe, but not over Crouch. Having said that, another couple of "performances" like this and I might change my mind...
