I think I’d rather have Eriksen, Lo Celso next season than Lo Celso, Dybala and sell Eriksen.

Eriksen is a known proven quantity in this league. Dybala and Lo celso could theoretically both flop and we’d then be screwed.

That said, signing Dybala would be so exciting too, I’d be happy either way!

Its up to Eriksen. As far as the other two flopping thats true too but if everyone felt that way nobody would buy anyone
and no buildings would ever get sold or built.Faith is the answer,Faith

For some reason beyond myself and clearly you agree that to many people think it’s amazing he’s staying... He won’t sign [Eriksen] ! I’d respect Eriksen if he signed and said he’d like to be sold... The whole running your contract down eating into the game, says to me players aren’t worth the money personally..... The arse gonna sign Pepe we get 12 months more of Eriksen before he leaves for free... ?⚽️??

The majority of people that want Eriksen stay do so on the proviso he signs a new deal (which is possible per ITK and media). No one wants him to leave on a free.

Eriksen could have signed for an extra year and asked to be sold I agree. It doesn't happen often as there is little loyalty but I have seen this type of thing with some in the States

I think he says that but surely he can't allow things to stay as it is rn, fans will go mad

Dude, he doesn’t care what we think about transfers. Hopefully finally he cares what his manager thinks though!

I think a little part of the doom and gloom on this site is the annoyance of seeing arsenal, with their supposed 45 million budget go and potentially drop 72 million on a top prospect and have a very good front 3 next season.

I know their defence is still shocking and what they do, we shouldn't care about....and ultimately I dont care about them at all....but....if they have a front 3 next season of aubameyang, lacazette and pepe, I would love us to have an even better front 3 of Son, kane and Dybala!

He really is a statement signing and yes there is the potential he could flop in the premier league. But if Poch wants him (I dont know if he does or doesn't) I'd love to see him backed and work his magic on a fellow compatriot.

It's a fantastic headache to have, isn't mate!

Gone are the days of Frazier Campbell and borrowing a stadium for matchdays.

The future is bright

Dybala saying he will remain at Juve to fight for his spot .

Even with separating this from the whole disappointment of not getting him angle, I think thats a piss poor decision on his part.

While Ronaldo is there, his spot has already been dictated, imo.

This isn’t anywhere on the web, where are you getting this from?

All I’ve seen is a rumour from sky sports Italy which is yesterday’s news. Also reports from Argentina that he is open to moving...

This isn’t going to happen !! But FairPlay to the spurs pr team leaking it to distract everyone from the fact we have only signed 1 player ok 2 but Clarke is loaned back so doesn’t really count! The pr team are playing a blinder

We have Moura,Dele and Lamela as well. Lamela seems like he is going to be some kind of factor. He did look good in the Juve game. Dele now fit has no excuses not to be one of the top players in the league and Moura is shown he is more than capable of attacking the goal. These are apart from any buys and Son and Kane and with our midfield now and a player or two adding for defence I think we are up above the Arse no matter Pepe or not

Right! I know a lot of people are sweating at the moment and are worried. I will be sweating next week if things are not progressing but let's take a look at some facts.

We traditionally do late business. Under ENIC and Levy that will never change.

Three players came in the day before the window closed. Two pretty huge signings too. To the sum of nearly 50m!

Pretty big and surprising signing came in very late in the window. We did sign other players before this but I'd argue that all of those signings were either cheap (N'Jie, Alli (5m in Jan), Trippier, Wimmer) or easily attainable due to a clause in contract (Toby) which meant negotiations were more straightforward.

16/17

transfers16:17.jpeg

Two deadline deals, one of them (Sissoko) that came out of nowhere and was very expensive, the other one dragged and dragged but we still got it done. 40m spend

17/18 - Summer and 18 Winter

transfers17:18.jpeg

Sanchez came in 8 days before the window shut for a massive 42m. Then three players came in in the final two days for a total of 45m...so 95m spent in just over a week.

Then in January Moura came in at the last moment for another relatively big fee.

Don't sweat just yet

I'm sure if we go further back we will find even more examples of this too.

When people say "We've been here before"....well.....yes! We have actually. We've approached the final week with everyone sweating and worrying about the business we have left to do and whilst we've not always got what we hope for we still generally get most of it.

Last summer really was an exception to the rule and I feel too many are focusing on this rather than the other more common outcomes.

First decent post in this regard. Stupid shit like “PlAyErZ aRe ON HoLiDaY” adds absolutely nothing to the discussion and isn’t valid whatsoever - but you’ve actually substantiated your point well.

My fury has abated for 72 hours. Your move, Levy.

Thanks. I do think it's important at this point to not lose sight of what has happened in the past in these situations.

However, if Levy doesn't get these deals done then I will certainly be joining everyone with the pitch forks.

Agree. Fair bit of arsenal fickleness seeping into the veins of many on here.
