If Sandro has to miss some time at the start of the season, a 4-2-3-1 with Dembele/Paulinho in the 2 will be quite alright.

He's fucking standing there shoulder to shoulder with Neymar & Iniesta.

And he's coming to us!

Unbelievable.

That was a very disciplined performance it's good to know he can do this as well as charge up the pitch. I also liked the way he instinctively dropped back to cover when Luiz went forward, that'll come in handy when Jan goes on a charge!

Christ listen to the way we're talking about him, he better bloody sign or we're gonna be feeling pretty stupid :cautious:

Just got back to hotel from Confed Cup Final. Maracana is an amazing stadium and the noise from the Brazil fans was just unbelievable. Paulinho is top quality - seems very humble too, was not at the forefront of the celebrations and peeled off from the main group on the lap of honour to pick up a Corinthians flag from the fans. Only downside was talking to a Corinthians fan who told me that on their website it says that Real are going to try to hijack our deal (I haven't checked but I'm hoping that signing Isco is enough for them!). He will be immense for us. Have to say though that his partner in CM, Luis Gustavo is an absolute beast - if Bayern are ever selling....

I think he was mentioning the old news few days ago ;) There is no such news on their website. No need to panic

We have our own beast, who may very well keep Gustavo out of the first XI come the World Cup. I can see Sandro, Paulinho and Dembele suffocating teams in the Premiership, I just hope the dynamism from Dembele (on the ball) and Paulinho (off the ball) is enough to outweigh the lack of pure creativity. I think we'll be very hard to beat though, we just need to find that extra versus the defensive teams. I'm sure Baldini, Levy and AVB are working on it.

So... Brazil steamrollered Spain last night. I didn't see it, kick off was 2am in this timezone.

Paulinho did this:

That Brazil midfield owned Spain yesterday, who have the best midfield ever. The combo of Paulinho and Luis G could easily be replicated at Spurs by Sandro and Paulinho. Even with 2 of them it would be total domination of any midfield in the prem.
