There are a number of ex-players out there who continue to love the club years after they last turned out for us, with VDV an obvious recent example, but, honestly, has any man ever loved Tottenham as much as Micky Hazard?

There's an article on him on the BBC at the moment (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37320751) covering his unpaid management of Hadley FC, but two quotes really stand out, these being:

"I worship every moment I'm at White Hart Lane," he said. "When I became Hadley manager, I made it clear that if a fixture clashed with a Tottenham home game, then I'd be at Spurs."

"I donated my (FA Cup) medals to the Tottenham club dentist, who is a Spurs fanatic," he added. "His whole surgery is a shrine to Tottenham Hotspur."

Frankly, I think it truly wonderful that we mean so much to him so many years down the line and that, having found someone who loves Spurs as much as he did, he's given him his medals so he can enjoy them and share his joy with others.

Anyway, this thread isn't about Micky, as much as I love him (although any Micky stories are welcome), but about those players for whom playing for Spurs was the obvious highlight of their careers and who still love us no matter what. Special kudos points to any players who feel this way despite getting the odd bit of grief from the fans.

So who out there of our ex-players still bleeds blue and white and loves us as much as Micky?

Comes across as a genuinely top bloke. Much respect for donating his medals as they probably mean the world to him. I love reading his tweets that are so passionate about our beautiful club.

I posted this picture on Wednesday before KO.

I didn't know Rasta Armstrong was a Spurs fan, seen as he had a mixed time with us I thought he'd possibly dislike us.

Hazard was a bit unlucky with us from memory. I was born in 75 so a bit young to appreciate him fully first time around, but initially he was fighting for a spot alongside Hoddle & Ardiles etc and when he returned a few years later, he was past his best (although still a cut above most of the players we had there). I remember him getting knocked off the ball so easily at times under Ardiles (i think) when he was manager. Saying all that, he was a beautiful player to watch and would've got in most teams as a star midfielder if it wasn't for the competition at Spurs at the time (80's). Classy as a player and and classy with his comments about Spurs since he left. Always take interest in what he has to say about us. He'd be a brilliant squad player in our current squad unlocking defences like a boss.

Graham Roberts is another one. Completely different player and personality but has nothing but love for us and will fight any other ex player to prove it!

In fact I think everyone who played for us in the 80's still love us, partly because we were a big & successful team.

Andy Booth said we were nice.

Bale and Modric love us.

They'll come back one day- you'll see.

One day....

I find that strange considering he didn't have the greatest spell with us and is a big Liverpool fan but he says us when talking about Spurs on the radio and always talks us up

He came out at half time last season, think it was against WBA and he was so clearly in love with spurs as muchas every last one of us.

Loved the "Eden Hazzard, he aint no relativeof mine"
