I groaned when I saw he was next, overjoyed when it went in, and then groaned again when Chimbo was next.

To be fair I thought it was all over when Zoko stepped up , and then he notches a top class penalty.

Why not?

Penalty shoot outs have never counded onto a players tally for how many goals the scored, my guess would be because its passed the aloted time for a game, even including the extra time

Nah, it don't count, but I agree, I groaned when he stepped up. Fair play to him though.

Its odd....would have thought Malbranque or even Lennon would have stepped up, but I suppose its down to who has got the bottle.

yes indeed. can anyone else admit to groaning out loud when zokora stepped up to take the penalty and were then completely flabbergasted when he put it in the top corner!

(other than those who have already admitted to it)

I couldnt believe how well he took his penalty, I actually thought he had a good game all round.

With the benefit of hindsight perhaps he should have took the fifth penalty instead of JJ, could have been a whole differnt story.

I hope JJ and Chimbonda shake of the disappointment asap

I couldn't see Zokora scoring his to be honest and shit when i saw him walking up(best of our penalties by the way) Excellently taken penalty, he was average in the first half, but by far our best player in extra time, what an engine.

Zokora was one of our better players on the night and always IMO plays well in our bigger games brilliant pen.

Chimbonda also had a good game just poor luck on the pen (hindsight Robbo should have taken it)
