Annoying that the run had to come to and end that way, a much more positive 2nd half but the damage was done in the 1st, however it is still nice to see where we are in the league despite the loss

 good stuff, amazing performance from the ref, but enough about that.

that 1st half wasnt good enough

everyone was really really bad today except for luka, CB's couldnt cope with peter fucking crouch!!!??

fullbacks were shit, one so bad he had to be subbed off!!!!

VDV was non existent apart from 1 good pass

Defoe did nothing for 45 mins (though should have had a pen)

lennon did nothing, Bale worked hard, got some ok crosses in but meh really

parker had his worse game by far

bad bad night

Fuck Stoke

disagree with the vast majority of that

Everyone needs to take a deep breath and remember how much luck we had at Craven Cottage, this is the reverse of that...

Erm that comment doesn't make sense

We were somewhat Lucky against Fulham, Fulham were not cheated like we were today

The only possible incident you can point at against Fulham was Walker falling on the ball, that would have been a harsh decision though and remember we still scored again and won by 2 clear goals on the day

Today we scored a perfectly legit goal that was ruled out, had a played yellow cared (who was later sent off) for complaining about being assaulted in the area without being awared a penalty

And atleast 2 other very good Penalty shouts, not to mention their first never should have stood.

Stoke are the worst thing in football, a horrible ugly team who I cannot wait to see relegated one year. The league is a worse place for having teams like them in it.

Is there such a thing as match bans for officials? If not there should be, or fines, fine them two weeks wages for not doing their job properly.

Easiest job in the world, no punishment for being consistently **** at your job.

S**t happens, we were robbed today but we gave them a good go. This is a minor blip on our way to world domination!

No I won't chill. I want an official investigation into the officials and the betting patterns of the game followed by Chris Foy banged up and the game replayed. If you want to chill after injustice like that do something other than post on a fans forum.

Top response!

Oh, and don't go thinking I'm not fuming about the shit decisions. I was just looking to calm down some pretty vitriolic stuff. I failed obviously, but hey!

At last a Spurs manager gives the ref the kind of lashing he deserves!

Yeah yeah you tactical genius. We should have played 6-0-4 to combat the long ball, there was no need for Sandro we didn't exactly lose the battle for possession did we?

Anyone bashing Redknapps tactics here I think are just doing it for Redknapp bashings sake. As you know I have criticised him a bit this season so far, but today he got nothing really wrong, the change at H/T was excellent and proactive and I don't think our tactics in the first half were wrong either.

The only thing he may have done, and I know you'll disagree with this (and no I didn't ask this before the game so I'm no visionary) is play Gomes who would have kept goal more proactively by coming out and dealing with the crosses/throw ins. Being able to punch the ball is the best counter to the high ball into the box, I'm sure of that.

Right, well I'm annoyed with that, we could very easily have picked up the full three points there despite the early set back. I thought we played really well for the final hour of the match but a mixture of luck, ball not bouncing right and poor officiating cost us.

Going through the team I felt Friedel and Parker had poor games and against a team like Stoke they might not have been the best choice to play. Stoke don't play the ball around in midfield, they play the ball long and pressure teams defence so Parker's positives are bypassed and perhaps dropping VdV into midfield alongside Modric may have been better for us. I like Friedel, but against Stoke he needed to be strong and take responsibility and he was frozen to his line too often which cost us, maybe not so much in the goals, but in how it encouraged Stoke.

Modric was sublime and once again a great pleasure to watch. Even though I'm feeling bitterly disappointed and frustrated at least I got to watch one of the most talented players I've ever had the pleasure of watching, play in a Spurs shirt. He ran the midfield, tirelessly ran the whole 90 minutes, left off a couple of great shots in the first half and just has a football brain that's probably even better than his skills which is what makes him so good. Also the way he stood up to be counted when the Stoke fans were on his back showed what a great character he has. I remember watching Nasri at the Arse in the Carling Cup a couple of weeks ago and he didn't want the ball and buckled under the hostile environment. Modic.. just amazing.

A lot of players played ok, Walker put in some good crosses, Bale was tireless, Kaboul I think did well not to get a straight red after having his shot 'saved' by Huth I think it was and then get dragged down during that corner.. I wouldn't have been able to keep my cool and may have done a Di Canio on his ass!

The ref basically ruined the game, unlike Modric he couldn't handle the atmosphere and avoided making big decisions so to get an easy ride... and the linesman made a terrible terrible decision with the Adebayor second goal.

I'm not disappointed as I saw a reaction from the players and we deserved more. Had we limped out 2-0 I wouldn't be happy, but I take solace in how way the players responded.

I must say, it is true that Spurs did not play well enough to win today. However, if shawcross hauling down Kaboul down in the box jumping for that corner isn't a stone cold penalty, then frankly at that point stoke were on notice that anything goes... and they hacked/mauled/grabbed their way to a 2-1 victory.

$HITE -- wasn't really the "beautiful game" today now was it?.... :bang:

Regroup and pray Ledders can play next week end

Awful from the Ref.

On the plus side I loved the tactical switch to the 3-5-2 from Harry. I think it really suits a lot of our players and also gives us another option.

I just hope this gives Harry some food for thought regarding his team selection. Long gone are the days when you can just put out your best perceived eleven, against certain teams you had to adjust your style to suit. We have one of the smaller teams in the prem and it showed with the way we dealt with throw ins and corners.

This is especially crucial away from home.

One more thing, I wish Crouch held up the ball like that when he was at Spurs

Ref was rubbish, but if we had played for 90 minutes instead of 35 I doubt we would have much to complain about.

That's the key thing really, Stoke came out like a train, and a more seasoned team than ours would have taken the sting out of the game, slowed it down, and made some niggly fouls on them, Crouch in particular. Ease your way into the game, That's how you win titles.

i wasnt too fussed with that as maybe it was just the universe balancing itself out since the mutant denied stoke a goal last year with the same mutant limb

but what followed after...well what the fuck was that:shrug:
