Not surprising, I've never been convinced that he has it in him to be a coach. Watching him on the sidelines he looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

Disappointing.
But if and it's a big if Nuno has really chosen his team- then let's hope he gets it right! Ledley can continue to get his badges and come back one day to partner Mason in a management duo. Short term it maybe negative but the long term could mean that King goes away with something to prove and if we know anything about him from the past he will get over anything in his way!
Good luck LK

Maybe it was racist :sneaky:

Joking...shame that but not every good player goes onto be a good coach/manager.

I mean, Jose’s comments when he was appointed kind of made me think it was a Levy PR move. Seemed to be studying mainly

My heart say we should have kept in this role for sentimental reasons due to his association with Spurs throughout his career, but my head says it is the correct decision.

Fans have to stop associating good players with being good coaches. Some are but most are not. They are two different skill sets.

Teaching or coaching a player does not come easy to top class players. They can’t break the game down the way some coaches are able to do. King probably defended on instinct but teaching that to a young player is difficult.

I hope he develops into a good coach but from what I hear that is not the case. Ryan Mason on the other hand is well thought of and is someone we need to develop.

Couldn't agree more!! I am disappointed though, I’d hoped he’d turn into a great coach but, I guess, few players do in reality.

Disappointing.
Not really, Ledders doesn't have many of his coaching badges yet.

He's not really ever struck me as someone who would go on to coach/manage PL/Championship football, he strikes me as someone who prefers to coach the youngsters in the early stages of their journey. I think it takes him back to his fond memories of time with Senrab.

I could be wrong and it's just an opinion.

Maybe he told us he wants to manage a club now?
Unless it's a strip club, don't keep your hopes up. Like all true Spurs fans I love the guy. When my girls bought me a bundle of Spurs shop gifts that included a Spurs Teddy Bear, I instantly named it "Ledley" and it sits with me by my laptop to this day. He's better off being an ambassador for the club and not letting his reputation being tarnished as a failure as coach/manager.

I admire and revere Ledley King as a Spurs Legend like the next guy, but it's the right thing to do... as for Ryan Mason - I think there is a place for him, because he can counsel his best buddies if they're not selected on account of performance...

This is unnecessary. Ryan has been doing a great job in the youth setup by all accounts and is well respected at the club.

Ledders has never been the most verbose if characters, I'm not too surprised at him not being the best at coaching. I'm more than happy that Nuno is appointing his own staff.

He’s been coaching for 5 mins, you can’t judge him in such a short period of time.
And seeing him on the touch line is no reflection of his work on the training pitch
