I litetrally cannot believe what I’m seeing. Anyone who says “Oh get over it! It’s just a kit- some will like it, some won’t- same as every year” are utterly wrong. The home kit is quite literally laughable it’s so ugly, and the away is GREEN. Green isn’t a Spurs color- so perhaps you’d try that on our third shirt. In that case, fine. But our AWAY strip is green?!? Fucking GREEN?!?!?!?!?

Our third shirt is fine- whatever- I think the stacked logos look stupid but it’s a third shirt so knock yourself out I guess...

I’m just shocked that our home kit looks like something my three-year-old daughter would design (but never actually wear) on a “Design a kit”-game on her iPad in which she has ten seconds to drag as many things onto a shirt as possible, whilst our away kit is the color of a McDonald's Shamrock shake.

I’m beyond caring at this point; Nike have outdone themselves in awfulness. I’m waiting to wake up from this entire fucking year but things just seem to consistently go from bad to worse...

I'm wondering if it's been made to appeal to da yoof?
Anyone on here 25 and under want to share their views? It feels like it's mostly us old darts that want to keep things simple and uncomplicated, maybe the chaotic nature of it appeals to the kids?

I'm reaching for some justification here....

I really don't think the home kit is too bad. I actually kind of like it. The only weird thing is the back of the collar

It looks a bit like they hired two people to design the collar on the home shirt, and after a bit of confusion they both thought they were designing the front. What on Earth is that on the back?!

Seeing as the faded grey print is similar to the effect used on a number of new kits for next season (not just by Nike) I can only guess that that aspect is on trend with one demographic. Unfortunately for me, that demographic is not ‘mid-30s dads with a gut’. I suspect kids and some overseas markets will lap it up though and that’s probably the objective.

On the other hand, I’d guess I’m the target demographic for the retro range and between that and the many old shirts I’ve amassed over the years, it takes something rather special for me to buy a new shirt for myself - hence the club and Nike are probably right to target people with no taste (e.g. kids).

Beyond caring yet goes on a huge rant....

"Beyond caring" meaning after one explanatory rant, I'm done with the subject and won't talk about it every time I see us in this season's uniquely awful shirts. "Beyond caring" as a phrase doesn't mean I'm not allowed to explain why I feel the way I do- it just means that I won't keep beating this particular drum all year.

Do you like the kit(s)? Do you find our home shirt beautiful? Are you impressed with it? How about our away: you good with an all green away strip? Does the color green = Tottenham to you?

So yeah, I'm "beyond caring" in the sense that I'm heartbroken that we are going to look absolutely fucking ridiculous for the majority of the season. I didn't love last year's kit(s), but they weren't terrible, so I didn't say much. This season, however, is so bad that- after speaking my peace- I'm letting it go (your little jibe notwithstanding).

You're right and thinking about it, I don't think I've bought a shirt since my kids came along, I just can't justify spending that much on a t shirt anymore.
I've just got to accept that I'm not the target market anymore.
Still, just because we're obselete now, doesn't mean we can't moan about it on an internet forum... Does it? :nailbiting:;)

Some of the comments on here make me howl! They're a collection of tshirts for gods sake, some of you are displaying so much outrage you wouldn't go amiss at a Labour Party Conference!

What’s wrong with a plain white T-Shirt ffs? I hope when the Nike deal ends we sign a long-term contract with Fruit of the Loom.

Obviously I’m not an idiot, and understand that we need that sponsorship money, so I’ve gone with a toned-down version of the current logo.

You must have been virtually inconsolable when we released our brown kit then!?

Might be a case of mistaken identity on my part (apologies if so), but don’t you rant and rave about how appalling the new kits are every summer?
