I respect them for the trade but, its like they didn't know they had to give everything to get sabonis. Haliburton should have been enough why do throw in Hield. Dumb.

Sabonis and Fox a good team but Haliburton or Hield was needed for spacing for fuxksake,

Even when they are close they find a way of making it worse

It's not a great match for Sacramento though.

Haliburton is 21, an spectacular athlete, a matchup nightmare who can give fits to opposing PG or wings in defense, is (statistically speaking) one of the stop and pop outside shooters in the league, he is a very good 3pt shooter in general, a very good defender and a great playmaker and seems to be ascending to be one of the top 5-10 point guards in the league.

Both Sabonis and Fox are guys who need the ball in their hands to be truly effective. Neither is a great outside shooter, neither is a great defender.

Fox in particular has been stagnant for years, is not a great outside shooter, not a good defender, he had an amazing rookie season and has never really captured that level again, add to that he has a massive (near max) contract and is what?....3-4 years older than Haliburton?

Sabonis is undoubtedly a great player but he is a center/pf who is not a good defender and isn't at his strongest in space. Add to that his contract is up in 24 and literally no one would stick it out with a front office like Sacramento and you essentially have a long term rental.

And let's not forget that on top of that Sacramento also gave up Buddy Heild who (despite his limitations) is exactly he type of player that Sabonis and Fox need on the court to open up the floor.

Indiana fleeced the Kings, they opened up space for Turner who was less effective with Sabonis also operating in the same space, got potential super star in Haliburton who will upgrade Brogdon and slot in perfectly with Duarte (if he can continue to develop) and picked up some outside shooting with Hield.

The Kings really should be in full on tank mode at the moment, shift Fox and build around Haliburton. They cleared a bit of the logjam in their roster but are now in a spot where they need Davion Mitchell to really ascend, Bagley to show that he is more than a role player and hope that Fox can get back to player he was a few years ago. I think they should have been looking to shift Barnes and Fox for picks and expiring contracts.

I'm still hurting from Game 7, I can't concentrate on these Finals and I just want the season to end ASAP.

Curry is one of the goats. He's not Jordan or Lebron, but he's in the next five.
For someone who's dips in and out of basketball, I don't really understand why Curry isn't as highly rated as Lebron given how Curry's dominated the last nearly decade. Is it simply just that Lebron was a teen sensation so has longevity on his side and Curry was a later bloomer?

4 titles in 8 years. 8 all-stars in 9 years. All manner of three point records. He is absolutely one of the GOATs behind Jordan for me.

Coz LeBron is a way better athlete, defender, passer, and rebounder for one.

For two, this is only Steph's 1st Finals MVP (Iguodala in 2015, KD in 2017-18) and he was not the alpha on the middle two rings.

Oh and LeBron beat the 73-9 Warriors led by Unanimous MVP Steph in 2016 which is the ultimate tiebreaker.

LeBron is flawed but he's never ever been as lucky with a team as Steph has, even the Heat superteam wasn't as stacked as KD, Klay, Draymond, Steph.

Please don't disrespect LBJ like this. LeBron has 10 more All-NBA selections than Steph, 2 more MVPs, 3 more FMVPs. That's an entire hall of fame career separating the two.

I don't often take issue with posts here but accusing me of disrespecting James for asking what I perceived to be a fairly innocent question is way off target. As I said, I dip in and out of basketball so just wanted more information. Going all fanboy and accusing me of disrespect is frankly not on.

I answered your question in full, didn't I?

I'm saying that to someone informed about the NBA, it would be disrespectful to compare the two seriously.

I was not meaning to be rude at all mate, apologies if you misread me.

Your response would've been perfectly fine and very informative had you dropped the first sentence of your last paragraph.

Seriously, didn't mean anything by it. I apologize.

It was a great win from the Warriors wasn't it? Disappointed in Tatum's performance, but big future for the Celtics as well.
