Seems like they want to sell and we want to buy so I can see a deal being done but obviously not at this price. This is just them throwing a stupid number out there to try it on. He sounds ideal, let's agree a sane price then let Kaboul or Dawson go so our defence is set for the season.

Levy been Levy'd ?

This is exactly the type of situation Levy loves. First on to blink loses. Unfortunately, I always feel that whilst the blinking competition drags on, some other team will just pay the asking price and leave us empty handed. I guess I just don't have the bottle for it, but if I want something and I can afford it I never miss out either.

I just don't believe this. With Villareal only owning a third why can they demand 17M? and of course the 51m release clause is just a standard thing in Spain and on the whole ignored unless the player becomes a world beater and he's not if he can't get into the Argentinian squad. Sounds like a leak to try to squeeze more from Levy - he won't fall for that!

Why does everyone assume what they read in a paper, which is only an opinion and an individuals interpretation of events in order to sell papers, is true?
