Plan A could be Alli. The lad is very talented and has the potential to really become special

I agree that Alli is extremely talented and could be a potential star, but in all honesty he is nowhere near ready to run a midfield in the PL

Spot on. We can't have Bentaleb, Mason, Ali & Carroll or Stambouli. Yes, Bentaleb is rapidly learning from his experience, but he is not experienced equal to a seasoned CM. It will be easier to continue developing these kids if have 1 super shiny CM star..

I fucking hope to god that we've got backup when we don't get him, I honestly think that centre mid is the most pressing need as far as getting a leader in there, don't really have much faith in mason as I think he's a limited player, someone like Kramer but even that seems like a fucking fairytale to be honest!!

I agee about the central midfield area, I do like Mason, I like his energy, his agression and his passion, but you are absolutely right he is limited in certain areas.

not one of the kids u guys are talking about (Alli, Carroll, Mason, even Bentaleb) are a true defensive midfielder like Schneiderlin I don't understand why u keep trying to compare or say we'll be fine with one of them in that postion

It is a crucial position. We need somebody who can defend and use the ball with intelligence.

And other than one game against a weak Man Utd in the cup, has yet to play against anyone outside League 1.
I expect him to be out on loan next season, though I could be wrong and he will feature in our cup games.

if database is on a smartphone, then it was probably by accident as the spam rating is close to edge of the screen and it's easily done.
If I ever get a neg rep I always asume it is a fat finger mistake, I mean, what else could it be.

So, the option C is Jermaine Jenas?

One of the problems with Twitter is you could take this message in any way. Namely don't let on that plan c was plan c or that we are confident on MS.

Personally I would say we are moving on now or less confident at least.

I think we could be pleasantly suprised.
Dele is a very hard worker and takes instructions very well.
I would be very happy to see him given a run in the team.

Don`t get me wrong, I think he will be part of the first team squad next season, and he has huge potential. I just think it`s unfair if we expect him to come in and tear up the PL the way he has League 1.

I just read a Sport Bild article that says Schweinsteiger is tending towards joining manure after he got an assurance from Van Gaal guaranteeing a first team. Would they sign both Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin?

Unfortunately it doesn't look like there's anyone on the Argentine squad who fits what we'd be looking for. It's a mostly older group, Lamela is actually the youngest player included. And I won't even allow myself to dream about snatching Mascherano, there's just no way. In fact I can't really find a CM at any of the Copa teams who I would be excited to sign and who might be genuinely interested in signing for us.

I like Charles Aranguiz of Chile. Not a defensive player as such but the guy can run all day, he's tidy and he takes a mean penalty.

Unlikely that we'll be gambling on another South American at this stage (though Chileans tend to travel well).

I think it's more likely that plan A is Kramer.
