If Schneiderlin goes to United and Vidal goes to Arsenal then that puts us in a really bad situation. Not because I thought we were gonna get Morgan, and it's not even worth pretending Vidal would even consider coming to us, but the fact that they are strengthening a position that's a weakness of ours and they're strengthening the position with real quality

2 quality players but let's see what we are in a month. We might be pleasantly surprised.
Anyway worrying is pointless. Solves absolutely nothing.

They have contacts, and when they say "done deal" it's usually correct.
If they had written "deal close" , then it could be bollocks to sell papers, but done deal is pretty conclusive.
I have seen tabloids say done deal countless times with it being bullshit.

Seeing as every single news outlet is reporting he's signing for Utd I'm going to guess he's going to sign for Utd, crazy I know but I just got a feeling he's going to sign for them.

Thing about Schneiderlin to ManUtd, we've seen what LvG does with players he feel is forced upon him. He doesn't really use them or believe in them. At Spurs, MS will be the centerpiece, guaranteed enough footie to be selected for France.

At least it looks like this is being concluded early in the window one way or another. Plenty of time to move on to other targets. Probably should just nick the ones Southampton are going for as a replacement.

I think we will end up going for Fabian Delph now. Bid around 8-10m for him I really don't see many options left. Inbula kondogbia have slipped by, while we don't seen that interested in cabaye, which is a surprise. Claise the Dutch midfielder would be my choice, but there are no real links to him

Just to clarify, Imbula has not gone anywhere yet.

He was heavily tipped to go to Inter, but now Porto have apparently outbid them, and Soton and Valencia circling as well.
Yeah just read up we were looking at offering 13m euros while Porto have offered 22m euros. Not looking promising then

We would all like Morgan to sign for Spurs. But the reality is he is likely to sign for United (good signing for them and a good move for him). It goes without saying that we hope there's a chance he will pick us....but he's very unlikely to.

That said, poch and co would have known from day 1 that there was a realistic chance he would go elsewhere. Which is why he has not been identified as the only CM we are after....as ITK have said a NUMBER of times.

Someone like Kramer would be amazing, but with any signing (especially from abroad) brings a high level of risk - will the settle, will they perform, can they cope with the Prem League? Etc etc...

But one thing is for sure, Poch and co know where we need to improve and are going about their business early which is a good sign!!

I for one am excited to see Poch put his team together and hope we the fans get behind ANY player they deem good enough to sign for us!!

But that's a debate for another thread.....

If they do sign him then you seriously need to think about asking the mods to grant you ITK status.

Right the best bit of ITK I read said, "Arsenal think MS is too expensive, so are going for Vidal". In what world is Vidal cheaper than MS, in fee & wages?

Vidal & Pogba were key to Juve's successes last season. I can't see either leaving for cheap

I think it probably means that MS is more expensive than his ability, but for a few million more, Wenger can get Vidal, who is a step or two above MS again. The fact that Man U aren't looking at Vidal surprises me too. He'd be perfect to provide the bite in midfield that they've been missing since Roy Keane.

Why the 'Do'h' rating Yanski? I was merely pointing out a fact! When Skybet take down the odds of a player moving, it usually means something is pretty imminent. Cech was taken down when they knew he was off to Le Arse. Benteke was taken down about an hour before it was announced that he had signed a new contract with Villa. His odds were something like 1/12 on him moving to us that summer!

Can anyone remember any players being taken down from there and then reposted?

michaelden, I think it's just relatively speaking. They think MS is expensive for the money, yet they believe Vidal is worth the money quoted.

Could be "If we're gonna have to pay 25m for MS then might as well stump 25-28 on Vidal"

pure guesswork. Arse have spent big on one player the last two summers, maybe they thought a cheaper MS would allow then to go for someone else big?

Have we ever actually been linked with Kramer besides the one Goal article that only said we should try to sign him (which doesn't really count to me)?
