I would think that this is just common sense but someone thought it was necessary to do and academic study of it….The more money pouring into a league/team means the results are more predictable.
I did find it interesting that home field advantage is still present but it has greatly been reduced.
Would an American-style salary cap work in European football leagues to bring parity? Would fans want that?
