Depends on how he sees us in relation to Brighton. He may see how they’ve moved on MacAllister and now potentially Caicedo, and think he’s just securing the power to be sold if the fee is named. With us, he may see us as a bigger club having been in the CL recently, and less need to have a clause. Until that becomes clear, it’s not worth speculating too much. However, playing devils advocate, it’s up to us to deliver the level of football that makes him want to be a part of. Get back into the write a reckoning by playing high intensity attacking football, and he may not want to leave.

I trust that if there was a chance of us signing him, Ange would very quickly establish via a chat whether or not the man would be fully committed to the club, clause or otherwise.

I've read a lot about Kudus since he's been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Brighton in recent weeks and one thing that kept coming up from Ajax fans is that he has a tremendous lack of tactical awareness which holds him back significantly and that concerns me. Not sure if anyone who has seen him can illuminate any further but it's an opinion I've seen mentioned more than a handful of times which makes me hesitant.

Is tactical awareness an issue in an Ange team?

The Juve players are Bremer and Vlahovic FOR SURE btw. As I can't guess in the ITK thread.

Great player and as others have said maybe that clause is because BHA have never qualified for the CL. We have so he might not be asking for the same assurances.
If there’s a chance for us to get him and Ange speaks to him he might be sold on joining us, or Ange thinks he’s not committed and we don’t sign him.

So is it for sure or is it a guess then?

It's a guess but it's based on a few posts that were made earlier in the summer and observations about Juventus transfer plans. I thought the excessive caps overcompensating might give away that It wasn't for sure

I’m more concerned about the fact that he has been offered to us (ie agent driven) vs a player Ange and the Scouts are seeking out.

we should know exactly who we want and the reality of whether attainable at this point.

very concerning if we are just waiting for agents to present ideas to us now that we have a wallet full of cash.

Surely it's an issue for everyone? For context, these are some quotes from Ajax fans on Reddit a few days ago. Obviously these are random fans and I've no idea if they're sensible or thick as pig shit but worth sharing all the same:

"Can't recall the last player who was clearly so talented, who I couldn't care less about leaving."

"He has absolutely no football IQ; limited tactical knowledge and lives offside. Completely gave up on the team a couple of times as well near the end of last season, not pressing when required."

"He has flashes of amazing for us, just doesn’t fit our team. Very individual player."

"Great player, but essentially no tactical knowledge and doesn't really seem to want to learn it."

"Very happy with 40m. This man can dribble like Messi but I would never trust him somehow."

"So much potential, yet always goes offside."

There are dozens of these. It reminds me a bit of when Newcastle fans were laughing at us when we paid £30m for Sissoko in 2016. Maybe they're all wrong and under the right coach Kudus could be a superstar but fans are normally a good gauge of a player.
