:-( This is absolutly gutting. It's put a massive sour note on a great opening 4 games.

think the croatian articles said it was a break and therefore 3-4months. now we know it is a fracture, does this mean it will be a shorter recovery time?

Terrible news, but I knew Bentley would get his chance for redemption this season...really hope he can grab it.

X-rays have determined that Luka Modric sustained a fracture to his right fibula during Saturday's victory over Birmingham City at White Hart Lane.

Its a shame but its also a good chance for the others to have an opportunity to shine. Annoying that he will miss the Chelsea and United games but realistically if he has to miss matches i would prefer him to play against the cellar dwellers in 6 weeks and help us get the 3 points per game than get 3 points against the sky 4.

Obviously i would prefer he didn't get injured at all, that goes without saying.

Dont think it will only take 4 weeks... its broken! Dont forget he needs to get in shape after it is healed and everything. I would suggest to get van der Vaart as soon as possible from Real Madrid. He can leave for 5 mil.

think its 4-6 weeks till he can start running.

you cant rush these injuries back and also it is on his stronger leg which might affect his play on his return. Also, because he wont be running now, he could easily pick up a hamstring injury on return.

Its bad news however long it takes but im confident that our squad will be solid enough without him as long as we have 2 recognised CBs playing

I'm sure it will be at least 6 weeks. Petrov wouldn't be my first choice. He has been distinctly average at City and is moodier than Berba. I remember a couple of years ago a game they played against Derby and he just stropped the whole game and didn't seem at all interested because they were playing the worst team in Premiership history. He couldn't be arsed at all.

Hopefully Gio will get a run out if we can't bring someone else in last minute. For sure prices will go up for us.
