The only thing giving me a glimpse of hope is that Ally Gold and Dan KP haven’t killed this off completely. You would think they would have done if the club had given up completely

Liverpool, Just got exposed by a team leaving two players high and wide on their fullbacks and not chasing them back and continuously lobbing the ball long to them.... this could be a game changer as they will have to adjust now people have seen this work and could open the door for one of the rest of the top 6 now is the time to go all in!

Ideally i would like us to sign a defender, I think we are lacking there and in all honesty the league is there fo rthe taking in my view.

I wouldnt mind a loan but defenders are pretty much hard to come by at the moment.

Yeah, I’m just waiting for them to say it’s off before I actually give up on it. Hopefully Levy sees that Liverpool is vulnerable and we can go for it this season.

Despite all of the talk of us needing this guy to challenge, we are the only top side that hasn't look like a car crash defensively. 5 goals conceded, 3 of them pens

It makes sense that Inter wont budge. I highly doubt they will. At the moment Skriniar is starting games. I doubt they would be particularly annoyed if he stays.

Also while Inter probably would like at least another left back, maybe a back up striker, and probably another midfielder (though Brozovic looks to be staying so doubt that's a priority position) they have signed players in the main positions they needed to fill (right back and CM) with Hakimi and Vidal. So, there might not be as much of a clamour to sell to buy as some are making out.

They’re in a business to get people clicking on their website and raking up views to generate income. They may be fans of the club but they’re not going to rule any deals out and result in few going onto their website on the busiest day of the year for transfers.

To be honest, we got away with it a bit at the back against both Everton and Southampton. And, with 11 players on the pitch, I'm quite certain that Utd would have caused us more problems than they did.

So an upgrade at CB would be most welcome.

So conflicted on this guy. I know nothing about him, other than the fact Jose is keen and he seems highly rated. My issue is I think if he is played regularly I think Tanganga will prove himself better than Sanchez and Dier, by the end of the season, but will obviously need a bit of adjustment time. But if this Skriniar is definitely better than them, then having him go straight into the 1st eleven would be great, but I just feel it significantly reduces Tanganga's chances. Our CB situation isn't desperate esp with Tanganga coming through, but while I don't think they're terrible I don't have complete faith in Dier and Sanchez.

Basically my concern is he comes in and blocks Tanganga, who I think could be top class. I guess the ideal is Tanganga and Skriniar playing together for me, if Srkiniar is as good as some say but don't think it'll happen that way

Indeed, and most fans were fine with our CB options before the window started. It's just focus has been shifted because all our priority positions have already been filled. Some people really get off on the buzz of transfers so I get it.

Skiriniar might be a game changer, but it's hardly a given and while I think he is a very good player there is always a chance it wont work out, and certainly some signs that suggests it might not. He might well take time to settle as well, particularly coming late in the day.

Let's be clear, I want to sign him, but there are plenty of reasons why there are hesitations and limits on transfers are their for a good reason. I mean everything should be carefully budgeted, while sometimes exceptions might be ok as a one off, the problem is you risk turning it into a pattern. 15 million, or whatever, might not seem a lot (btw it absolutely is a lot but that's another story) but it's not just that you risk turning this overpaying for targets into a habit that undermines the whole model we run.

I'm confused I think you may have replied to the wrong comment. Sorry if I'm being stupid I just don't see how your reply relates to my comment.
