There's a good chance Paratici had made a call. But that's it. Hopefully the phone call is all @Japhet wanted.Wouldn't get your hopes up.

Yeah, it was pretty clear that Palace did great business with him and Eze, looks like the top clubs screwed up ah.Yeah, that's why the other top clubs weren't interested when he left Reading.
Won’t happen this window but for summer I’m right there with you.Now that Nusa's not viable I'm just hoping Fabio's on the blower to Juve about Yildiz or Soule.
I think he was talking about Nusa not being able to be announced whilst a couple of things were tidied up with the deal.Didn't WLB say a few days he had an update for the itk thread but wasn't allowed post it yet?
So maybe there's something that was brewing then but agree with you lot that I can't see anything major happening now at this stage which is fine as we addressed our two main issues early in window.
Given no one else has cash to spend it feels like a slightly missed opportunity to take advantage of that but nothing to get too upset over.

Of course things then changed so don't think there's an additional bit of info to come.
Solomon has to be given a chance and I actually agree that his skill set is something we are really lacking up top. My big concern with him tho is his injury issues. I pointed this out in his thread. He’s had three seasons where he’s missed over 10 games and after today it will be two consecutive seasons he would have missed 16 games with a single injuryStill feels like the two areas of main concern are a dribbling winner and a central midfielder.
I think there's a hope that Solomon may provide an answer to the first, and we do have numbers in relation to the second, although for me with a gap in terms of being able to play Ange's style.
Considering neither seem like emergency requirements, I doubt it's something we'll rush into this window.
You’re probably right but tbf he did say it was for the ITK thread not the Nusa thread so whilst some of it likely connected to Nusa it’s a good bet not all of it did. Ether way one would think it was prob in relation to the likes of Nusa, PEH and Gallagher so as you say nothing that needs to be said any longer.I think he was talking about Nusa not being able to be announced whilst a couple of things were tidied up with the deal.

Completely agree that Solomon's injuries mean he isn't someone we can currently rely on for that role, which is presumably why we were looking at Nusa for now and not just the Summer.Solomon has to be given a chance and I actually agree that his skill set is something we are really lacking up top. I’ve seen a lot of people saying we should be selling Gio because of his injury record, which I can understand even if I’m still hoping he can come back and stay fit for the remainder of the season. Solomons injury record is just as concerning if not more more so. Obviously it’s way too early to write him off and we will need to see how he does but it’s certainly a situation we need to keep in mind going into next season.

As for Gio, I'm fine with him staying as effectively our 6th choice midfielder, but I'd rather give that role to a younger player to be honest. Whether it's injuries or form I just don't think he cuts it for us.
There’s always tomorrow as wellNot expecting much business today apart from possibly Gil leaving.
I agree. If we move Gio on I think we need to replace him with someone equally creative, we've seen in glimpses how good a player with his skillset can be, but also how important a decent rotation option is needed with Madders, if we get CL then another quality technical player is a must.
I agree.
We've made do with Deki in that role a couple of times but I don't think he's a like-for-like replacement.
But for me neither is Gio unfortunately. He's just not a Premier League player.
