I know he has his critics but I think he has been fantastic since coming into the team. I also think he has adapted and you don't see as many long balls from him and he definitely trying to keep it on the deck. And when he does hit a long one, it is pretty good!

He is still prone to some lapses in concentration (such as for the Lloris save last night) but he has also stepped up in terms of leadership and I reckon AVB sees him as important not just on the pitch but in the dressing room too.

I hope he gets his new contract as he deserves it.

I rate Dawson highly and to me he always seems to play the game the right way and with a smile on his face, Kids could really learn a lot from watching Dawson.

I love the attitude he has shown this season after being told he could go, most players would have taken the easy cash on offer at QPR. Instead Dawson has fought his way back into the team and in my opinion, we look a lot better at the back with him in the side. He also looks like he has dropped a few pounds, perhaps to try and find a bit of extra pace and adapt to AVBs system, If so then he deserves massive credit for that too.

Dawson appeared to be someone who wouldn't fit into AVB's preferred style of play and very nearly left in the summer.

Fair play to the guy though. He does get caught out sometimes but he has worked hard, not complained and earnt a place in the team while Kaboul is injured.

We saw how Bassong struggled when playing sporadically so Dawson deserves a lot of credit foe how well he has played this season.

I don't want him to be a first team starter when all our players are fit but few teams in the league would not want a player to come in when there are injuries. He has a top class attitude and has adapted his game well this season.

I don't know quite what went on with him and AVB but they certainly had a lot of man love after the game for each other. Personally I'd love him to see out his career with us. It's clear he is a favourite amongst his team mates and he's a good CB, mayb not a Kaboul or Verts but e has a place in our squad. If you want to see wot poor squad harmony can do have a look over at the Chavs.
