So there I was DJing in my local bar. The vibe was funky, Jamiroquai Deep n Funky playing, I glance up and none other than Glenda himself is dancing in front of me!
Obviously I had to talk to him. A very nice guy up until he found out I didn't have Genesis or the Eagles in my collection for the night and then he seemed to shun me.
I told him what a legend he was/is in my eyes and that if he was playing now that he would've been one of the highest valued players around IMO and then shuffled back to my decks before the tune ran out.
Oh yeah and Simon Davies was there too.

He seemed pretty normal to me. As normal as a bloke of his age out on the toot after a golf day can be at least.

Simon Davies lives near me. Trying to sell his house atm, but not having any luck. Has a new baby daughter. :) Had a brief chat with him in the butchers a couple of months ago. As you do......

Yes I did chat to SD, also a nice bloke, after he was grinding on some girls leg in a rather drunk fashion. I tend to steer clear of talking shop with anyone, unless its a business event of course, as I consider it their down time to relax without being hounded.

He also bought a bottle of grey goose, drunk half of it with his mates and then gifted me the other half as he left.

I saw Simon Davies a few times at Vauxhall train station. Normally where beggars hang out.

Anyway, that season Fulham almost went down I spoke to him for a bit after Fulham had only drawn with Derby. I said to him if you couldn't beat Derby you didn't deserve to stay up. Oops.

Simon Davies - Our Player of the year in 2002. That's when he was good. Easy to forget that for a while he was actually a real threat on the wing.

He was brilliant for us that year, let's not forget that.

One of the very few bright spots in a largely forgettable campaign.

He is a free agent this summer I think, and he will be lucky to even find a club. How things change.

He was in a wine bar near to us a couple of months back watching a dodgy satellite feed of the Man City game...
