talking of strange hair I have a worry about the Arshavin deal....why is his hair always wet? I'm starting to get concerned that he only plays well in the rain, so he'll be useless in August
hes taken afew knocks in the last 2 games so it was good to see him get up and get on with it.i have to admit i get alittle worried when he goes down.I'm not worried about Bales hair what does worry me is his susceptibility to injuries - especially to the ankle. In his enthusiasm to win the ball he is nearly always at full stretch and uncompromising defenders like he met yesterday against Dortmund are always likely to cause injury because he is at full stretch. He should be taught to tackle so that his ankle joint is not rigid waiting to be struck by the defenders boot. One way is not to make every tackle a sliding tackle but to stand up and with experience he will learn to win the ball without risking injury every time. Of course on occasion injuries are inevitable but the risks can be reduced without making each tackle a matter of life or death. Gareth is more valuable attacking the defence than winning do or die tackles every time. 2 good examples who cant tackle and uneccisarily risk injury are Gazza and Rooney. Neither can tackle and are more valuable staying injury free and doing what they are good at.
