If it’s been said so many times he doesn’t want to have a 3 man midfield as an option, would you mind providing some evidence? All I can remember being said is he wants a ball carrier rather than a ball playing creative player, nothing about tactical/formation changes based on squad personnel

Yeah. No idea how much truth there is in our interest but, to AC, not sure how much difference there is between a ball carrier on the right of a CM 3 and one on the right of a FW3.

Another central midfielder shouldn’t be out of the question for us imo. Love Bissouma and Bentancur as players but not as big on the others as a lot seem to be. Nunes’ ball carrying, athleticism and presence can really add something in the big games particularly. Know he’s not really rated on here but wouldn’t be against Traore as an option at wingback He can get us up the pitch in games like today.

Paqueta top pick for me as could play in a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 but if De Jong is available we should consider him as he would add some real technical quality in the middle.

Bissouma is probably one of the best in the league at this. We just need to bed him in.
