On loan from Udinese, Watford share same owner, Giampaolo Pozzo.
Udinese sign sick amount of players, and they use other Pozzo clubs to give them game time.
12 players on loan at Watford from Udinese and Granada this season
Udinese is all about making money though, so they are willing to listen to offers.

Charlie Austin, in my opinion, would be a better bet. Has scored more & more as he's grown older. So we do at least know he's not a '1 season wonder'..

They like to maximize their profits though, they'll want the best players at Udinese for a bit to show them off.

Can't say I've seen him at all. Is he a CF or more a 2nd Striker type? Aerial ability? Hold up play?

I've seen him a few times on tv, looks a good player. He's very composed in front of goal and has decent pace. The other day he picked up the ball on the half way line b4 leaving the centre backs for dead and beating the keeper.

He's been lethal in the championship this season, young and I don't reckon he would cost more than 6 million pounds. Worth a punt? Seems like a levy deal with sell on value.
My hornet mate reckons he's the next big thing to come out of the championship, they can't stop raving about him apparently

We need a player who is ready to play PL this season. No point buying anyone otherwise.

we already have 20 year old strikers in our academy

I cant see him making an immediate impact unless he is something special

I haven't seen him play, but I guess he would be just as good an option as Gary Hooper. 16 goals in 23 games is pretty decent, even in the Championship.

We need both. If Vydra is the only striker we buy I will be disappointed, but we always need good young talent so we continue to have Caulkers and Walkers coming into the first team each year. If we think Vydra is a better prospect than our other youth strikers we should give him a go at 4-5m; but I think we all want an immediate impact player as well.

This, I can see him definitely being a better prospect of some strikers in our academy, e.g obika and coulthirst is yet to prove himself outside the academy

pretty hard when they have never played outside the academy

Obika has been on loan six different times and never impressed (20 goals in 90 games). After his performances in the U-21s this year I think he'll get one more shot at proving himself next season, but if he fails at a League One or Championship side again I think he'll be moved on. Coulthirst is very young, but if we thought he was at a level where he'd dominate in the Championship like Vydra I'm sure we would let him prove himself too. He'll get a shot in the next couple years when he's ready.

Good young talent is cheaper in the summer. Secondly, if we make the Champions League then we will need a better grade of cheaper youngster. Best waiting until we know what we want and cut our cloth accordingly. Until that is decided, players to get us in it are the priority.

got two more today away to forest, i've only seen goals highlights of this kid but i'd be happy if we took a chance on him.

The championship is on a par with the SPL ... may be even a slightly higher standard. I'd happily have 20 year old Vydra over 25 year old Hooper. A lot younger, can mould him and he should cost approx half of what Celtic will want for Hooper.
