Thanks for the thread @Bulletspur ..
.
I'm not gonna get too excited beforehand, it's been a lot of lows in the PL matches, too many "what-ifs & if-onlys"

This is a big match for me for numerous reasons. Our overly-cautious, defensive or however you want to describe it type of football is proving to be as damaging as it is successful so I'm really hopeful that we see that realisation reflected in the team selection or the way we play on the day.

I'm really not sure I can take watching another display of completely conceding control of a match and inviting pressure until the opposition score. I will unfortunately have something else to watch on standby.

That Fulham game really deflated me of any confidence.

Only positive I can put forward at the moment is that conceding the first goal May actually do us some good and force us to play a bit. Really is ridiculous how low my confidence and expectations are right now considering where we were in the middle of December.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let Dele Alli and Gareth Bale rediscover the form that made the Spurs faithful sing songs about them. Even if it’s just for 20 mins that creates 3 goals for Kane/Son tomorrow

Win tomorrow and Liverpool beat Utd and we are 3 pts off the top.
Then we can start again for second half of the season.
Although on the other hand I may well end up with a bad head by 4pm. I used to enjoy the games win or lose, now I just endure them.

Any idea why we do not have a midweek game next week. There are six games in total so other teams missing out as well

Will accept nothing more than a convincing win on Sunday. I dont care what Mourinho says about them being a great team, they have won one premier league game all bloody season.

I predict 3-1. Them to get a consolidation goal in the closing minutes.

Dont think ill bother watching. Fucking depressing watching our last effort.

I'll check the result and watch the highlights if we win.

We are not gonna win the league this season, but it's still an interesting match if you see us as a top four contender in desperate need for a win.

The result is the least of my worries at this point.

I just don’t want to watch 45 mins of good football followed by 45 mins of disappointment. This two faced team better sort it out

The team selection will dictate the result. The big outstanding questions I have:

-Will Mourinho bring in Davies and Doherty? Aurier and Reguilon have been clearly superior and in such a game, they should undoubtedly start. Nevertheless, with Mourinho, you never know when he'll opt for a more defensive option reacting to a long ball, aerial threat of the opposition.

-Do either Sissoko or Winks start? Do both of them start? I see no need for either to play in such a match, but if they both start, it's going to be a much more reactive team effort and we'll be looking at another tight contest.

-Does Mourinho select Bergwijn, Lucas, Bale or Lamela as the starting right wing forward? At their best, all of them are capable of winning matches, but they've collectively scored 1 goal when starting league matches this season. Though, I'd opt for any of them over what we saw against Fulham.

Start Reguilon/Aurier, as well as PEH/Ndombele/Dele, with any one of Bergwijn/Bale/Lamela up front, and I think we win and put in a great performance.

Jose needs to do something different. Dele or Bale should be starting this. If Jose doesn't think they are good enough to perform in a game like this then we might as well get rid. Sissoko needs to be put on the bench. I don't believe we will line up any different to usual though.

I'm really struggling to convince myself to watch today. Time and time again I do it and at the final whistle ask myself why the fuck I bothered. I've still got a load of decorating to do so it's a close call - sad state of affairs really.
